Extremely atmospheric, darkly funny at times, and very eerie 😰
"This was such an eerie idea. Abandoned cars, no people living there, the horses noticing something the humans don’t—the dog too... all things that are innocuous and aren’t typically a cause for concern. But in the right setting, here, they’re signs that something is amiss. That you should pay attention. Very well executed and very polished writing. The author has created a thick atmosphere that feels deliberate, a slow crank of tension that never releases and leaves you feeling the tension even after finishing. Sometimes the creepiest stories are the ones in which nothing horrific actually happens, but the true fear lives in the “what ifs.” In the smells that make your brain go to dark places and wonder... what were they cooking?! And is it what I think it is 👀 Well done. I highly enjoyed this and look forward to reading more from the author 🥰🖤"
