Prologue
In a small corner of a small town in Indonesia, the aroma of warm coffee mingles with the scent of spices that permeates every pore of the air. Behind the nearly worn wooden walls, a young man named Rizwan prepares for his morning with enthusiasm. His nimble hands stir the batter, his face filled with hope, and his eyes sparkling with ambition.
Rizwan is no ordinary young man. Although he comes from a modest family where his father, Ustadz Hasan, is a respected religious teacher, he has big dreams that often keep him awake in the early hours of the morning. His dream is not just about success—he wants to establish an international restaurant that unites the world through the flavors of the archipelago. He wants his cuisine to be a bridge between cultures, and he is ambitious to conquer the world through the taste and aroma of his dishes.
However, the path to his dream is not always smooth. From culinary school to working in a simple café as a waiter and kitchen assistant, Rizwan learned a lot about the harshness of the culinary world. He also harbors a deep longing for a blonde-haired wife, a woman from Europe or America, who could be his true companion throughout life’s journey.
Amidst the twists and turns of his struggles, there is a family that always serves as his support, and friends who brighten his days with laughter, life lessons, and timeless tales of friendship.

Dusk began to creep behind the roof of Rizwan's family's simple wooden house. The oil lamp in the living room glowed dimly, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. At the dining table, Ustadz Hasan sat with a serene expression, guiding his children in reading the Qur'an. Rizwan sat next to his younger siblings, looking at his father with respect and pride.
"Culinary arts are not just about taste, son," said his father after finishing the reading. "But also about intention and blessings. If our hearts are pure and our intentions are sincere, every meal you make will bring benefits."
Rizwan nodded silently. His father’s words fueled his unwavering spirit. Even though the path he was on felt difficult, his belief that his efforts were part of his devotion and a source of reward made him willing to fight on.
Behind his big dreams, there are worries that sometimes grip him. What if the world does not accept cuisine from someone like him? What if cultural differences make it difficult for him? And in the midst of all that, how does he deal with his own feelings that are beginning to grow—longing for a life partner, whom he dreams of from afar, in Europe, with blonde hair and a warm smile?
But one thing is certain, Rizwan knows that without struggle and sacrifice, dreams will only remain dreams. He must dare to take steps, fall and get up, and learn from every failure. Because, according to him, the greatest adventure in life is not only about reaching the top, but how we continue to stand even when we fall.

It was late at night when Rizwan sat at his study table, accompanied by the dim light of a lamp that was almost fading. In his hands, he held a recipe book and small notes about cooking techniques that he had learned from his teachers. But it wasn't just cooking techniques that he was thinking about tonight, but also the big dream that slipped into every beat of his heart.
“If I truly want to have restaurants in Paris, New York, and London, I have to start here, from the bottom,” Rizwan murmured to himself. He knew the journey would be filled with challenges and obstacles.
The image of his beloved family continues to accompany him. His mother, who always sends prayers and simple dishes that warm the heart; his younger siblings, who admire his every step; and his father, who despite being busy teaching, always finds time to give advice and motivation. "Don't give up easily, son. No matter how big the culinary world is, it always starts small," his father's message always sticks in his mind.
However, there was one thing that made Rizwan feel different from his friends. He had an unusual dream: not only to make a name for himself and achieve success in his homeland, but to conquer the world stage. He wanted the restaurant he built to be a symbol of cultural unity through cuisine, and also, indirectly, to find love in a distant land he had never set foot in.
That night, behind the cold air that entered through the window of his room, Rizwan wrote in his journal: "I don't just want to be a chef. I want to be a bridge between worlds through taste, and my heart agrees that someday, I will find my soulmate from the land of a thousand western suns."
The prologue unfolds, lifting the curtain on a journey filled with color, twists, and tales that shape not only the skilled hands of a chef but also a soul brimming with hope and love.
