Summary

On one fateful, yet apparently ordinary day, 147 students from one school just disappeared. They woke up in a huge, incomprehensible facility-a place out of this world. Soon, it would come as a grim revelation that they had been picked for some deadly games. The rules were unknown; so were the motives. The one thing that was sure was that defeat meant death, and even surviving could entail a price worse than dying.

An unusual morning....

A dark day it was. The fog blinding my vision, limiting it to a very few metres. Although it looked cold, the weather was actually warm, which stirred a bit of confusion in my mind.

I stood at the bus stop, lonely as never before. The wind tugged my perfected uniform, I watch the grey sky as I wait for the government bus.

The sluggish bus stopped at a bit further than where I was standing. I ran and boarded the bus to Red hills. The passengers were rather gloomy sending a chill down my spine, I was so used to seeing the lovely faces of fellow students and some daily wage employees.

I got off the bus at the stopping near my school, and started walking to the back entrance gate. I opened the gates, making creaking noises as it moved. Every step I took made me hesitate and made me feel like something could go wrong.

The usually bright and lively buildings of the school looked dull under the strange atmosphere. I shrugged it off and continued walking to my class room.

As I stepped into my classroom i felt a genuine sense of relief when I saw that my friends weren't as dull as the weather. As I closed in, I caught a conversation of the homework yesterday -which I obviously hadn't finished.

I sat on my desk and a ball of paper came flying towards me.

"Ouch! Who the hell- oh it's you...."

The paper came from a guy sitting at the last with a wicked smile. It was my bro shadow. That guy and I are like brothers from different mothers.

He gestured me to open it. When I did, it simply said "Omni isn't here yet, he's late as usual!" Omni was my other friend, we were the dumbass trio of our class!

"Bro must be doing drugs right now!" Shadow shouted from there in a sarcastic tone, laughing his ass off!

Omni wasn't actually a drug user, but he sure looked like one! He was always late to class.

I reached into my bag and pulled out my water bottle to fill in water, as I stepped out the door-everything turned black. Nothing but Just darkness and feeling of falling in an endless void. I felt an eerie noise ringing in my ears as I drifted into the nothingness.

I heard a voice calling me in a distance

"Enxy..."

"Enxy...." It echoed, "Enxy!"

I woke up gasping for air, it was Shadow who was trying to get me back into my senses.

I turned to his face, all sweaty and disturbed. "Something happened" he said with a terrified look on his face.

"This isn't normal"

I stood up with his shoulder for support.

I looked around but what I saw wasn't my classroom it was a room lot bigger than my classroom. While I was scanning the faces of my classmates who were on the floor, I saw Omni there too.... Miraculously!

I gestured Shadow to wake them all, while I went to investigate what was happening.

There were no windows... Only one door leading to the corridor.

I rushed out the corridor, I saw two other classes B1 and B2.

And then suddenly the rusty old speaker in our classes came to life. A cold voice with tone of an AI trying to mimic a human.
