Just A Dream
His lips find mine in a compassionate kiss. My chest blooms with warmth that spreads all through my body. I lean back into the bed as my arms wrap around his neck—bringing him down with me. His shoulder length black hair tickles my arm as our lips mingle together. This wasn't a kiss full of lust and power. His kisses always left my heart beating irrationally in what I’d only describe as love.
Thick, salty tears drip from my eyes. He pulls back to cup the apple of my cheek—pulling me back up into a sitting position with him. His thumb chases away my tears before he places a warm kiss in its place. The absence of light in my room makes the moment more tender. He places his forehead against mine—our hair coming together to blanket us from the rest of the room.
“I don’t want to wake up.” My voice wavers with pure emotion. My chest tightens because I don’t know. I don’t know if I’ll ever see him again, and I’m scared he’s not real. I’m scared that my mind conjured up this very beautiful human being, and I’m terrified to face the reality without him.
“I promise, I’m real. And I promise we’ll be together.” He replies to me, but his voice also wavers with emotion—as if this is also affecting him just as much as it is me. His lips brushes mine as he speaks. “I love you, (Y/N).”
“I love you, Yoongi. More than you can ever imagine.”
He pulls our heads apart and tilts his to the side. His answering gummy smile makes my breath hitch in my throat—getting stuck there. I gently cup his face and bring him back down onto the bed again. I close my eyes in anticipation as my lips chase his as he teases me a bit.
“Yoongi, I want kisses.” I pout—opening my eyes to stare up at him. He’s propping himself up by both arms as he towers over me. His lips pull up into a lazy smirk.
“My girl can have all the kisses.” I giggle as he leans down quickly to capture my lips in a gentle kiss. He pulls back tenderly as I lean up—chasing him. I open my eyes to the sound of him chuckling.
”What am I going to do with you?” He ponders—lovingly looking down at me.
“Love me, for as long as I live.” I murmur as I prop myself up onto my forearms—rubbing my nose against his cheek.
“Longer than that.” He vows—the strength and declaration of his words makes my whole body tremble. He cups my left cheek as I stare into his whirlpool of beautiful whiskey colored eyes. I take my left hand and cup his hand back. I nuzzle into his palm—leaving a kiss onto his soft skin when he retreats. I look back into his eyes, and for a second I swear they were red, this must definitely be a dream then.
If this is a dream, then I’ll cherish him—forever. A love that can never fade from my wretched heart. Min Yoongi owns it, and forever—it shall be his. I take his left hand and place it over the rhythmic beating of my heart. I lean up onto my knees as I bring our heads back together again.
“Even if this isn’t real, I want you to know that you own this.” I press his hand harder into my chest so he can feel each pump of my heart.
“What are you saying?” He pulls his head apart from mine, and takes his hand to cup my cheek and pull my face to look into his eyes. His eyes shift back and forth—searching my eyes. I take my free hand and I wrap it around his hand that’s placed onto my heart—caging his hand into place.
“I can’t go on in a world without you. What I’m saying is.” I paused as I looked into his eyes. Eyes that show fear, yet are tender at the same time. Eyes that I’ve loved the moment I first met him in my dream. Eyes that even if his mouth doesn’t say a word—speaks for him.
“What I’m saying is—even if this is a dream. Even if this isn’t real—if you aren’t real. Then I’ll hold onto you until my last dying breath, because if you’re not real, then my mind made the most perfect person, and there’s no chance in hell my heart could not love you.” Tears stream down our cheeks simultaneously. His eyes are cloudy with emotion as he places his now salty lips onto mine.
He presses our lips together harshly—as if we need to burn this moment into our memory. To burn the imprint of our lips onto each other. His chest becomes flush with mine. Our heartbeats mingle as we hold each other in a passionate lovers embrace. Our pelvises rest on each other as our lips try to scorch each other.
His kisses were fiery, desperate—as if this was our last moment together, and that terrified me. His prescience has me so high on oxytocin. He grips my hips as his lips chase mine in our embrace. Once we break apart, he kisses down the column of my neck as I desperately suck in air. I wanted to tattoo his fingertips into my hip bones to keep his memory always with me.
“I promise I’m going to do everything in my power to get you to me. To us.” He vows in a choked sob as he hides himself into my collarbones. I opened my mouth to ask what he meant, when his head shoots up and he shushes me. “Let me love you.”
“Forever?” I murmur.
”For eternity.” He counters.
“I’d love nothing more.” I promise. Yoongi rolls me on top of him. My coppery brown waves fall onto his porcelain face. His deep throaty chuckle makes my heart lurch.
“Sorry.” I swipe away my strands of hair—making his nose crinkle in the process. I giggle as he pulls me down to his soft lips. The muscle already looked abused and swollen, but on him, it looked so beautiful. The rest of the dream we held each other close with passionate promises, tender touches and kisses.
When daybreak came, I had no choice but to go. I was ripped out of the arms of the man I loved and thrown into my harsh reality. A place without him, and that was no place I wanted to be.
