A page turner
"This story continues to force me to want more. The world building is great, but Renee's character? Wow, the level of detail in showing the struggles of depression and the rebellious attitude in trying to process something a 16 year old girl shouldn't have to do. The maturation of this character as this author also shows her in therapy sessions. Amazingly beautiful. Makes you want to root for this main character. Let alone all the fighting scenes with her boxing. Spot on! I've only read 18 chapters so far, but this book is high on my priority list! I can't wait to finish this story. I have bought the authors first book on Amazon - Requiem of Lost Love and I loved it! I am grateful I can read their other novels for free on Inkitt. Even the sequel to Requiem is being written here. I'm glad I found this author on Facebook!"

Fantastic Story

Along the way she learns how to grow and lean on those who love her the most. Overcoming life's hardships is the clear message of this book. Perseverance through tragedy can make one stronger. Learning to trust again when your world crumbles and letting go of toxicity to cleanse ones soul. With nice plot twists and a happily ever after make this book a joy to read."

"An amazing story written with so many complex emotions to deal with. Adding a dose of reality to a fiction story that i'm sure many can relate to. Love, loss, anger, grief, perseverance and the drive to never give up. The overall theme is how we choose to survive what threatens to tear us down. This is a must read for anyone who cherishes a strong young woman who fights at every turn. The ending was surprising and one I was not expecting. This was an incredibly well written, gripping story."
Rollercoaster!
"What a rollercoaster ride! I came in thinking this was going to be a cheesy YA rom/com type book. I am so glad I was wrong. This author woke me up in chapter 1 and gave me a dose of reality. Drawing out feelings of love and bonding to despair, heartache and anger. This story grabbed my attention right away. I was not expecting a female boxer. I love how strong this female character is, yet she's no wonder woman. She is flawed, dealing with grief, despair and depression. I love how this author incorporates mental health counseling and how important it is for us. (That really hit home). Another thing I enjoyed about this story is the transition to how Renee was forced to go to a boarding school. Dealing with grief was obvious, as one night of rebellion did not warrant the punishment of going to a boarding school. However, I liked how the author made sure it was about Renee healing from her grief to get her life back together. How this strange man Richard found a way to prove he cared by selecting a school near a reputable boxing gym so she could continue her dream. I've only finished 10 chapters, but damn, this story is a must read!"
