Chapter 1: The Special Tree
In Emma’s backyard stood a tall, sturdy tree called the “Thankful Tree.” Every year, Emma’s family made a special tradition of decorating it during Thanksgiving. They believed that the tree was magical because it held all the things they loved and were grateful for.
Emma loved helping decorate the tree. She would hang shiny paper leaves with notes like “I’m thankful for my family” or “I love my dog.” Each leaf was a little reminder of all the good things in her life.
One chilly autumn day, Emma’s mom said, “Today, we’re going to add our thankful leaves to the tree and celebrate everything we’re grateful for.”
Emma smiled wide. “I can’t wait! I love our Thankful Tree.”
