Prologue
There are tribes of beings of different shapes, colors, and skills that live in a world not yet named but known very well by few beings. Tribe rulers and heirs filled with the blood lust of war, lethal beings unable to be touched by those of other races. Hidden races, power hungry monarchs and berserk tribes. These beings behave similarly to humans, with lust, anger, envy and greed, but these beings are much stronger, containing a power humans will never know. Living like ants to the giant creatures that roam the forest.
A vast untamed jungle was thick with tension. On the east side where the river forked two males stood, bodies tense ready to strike like a viper hanging from a tree. Two groups stood separated, spectating. A female stood at the front of one group with people as colorful as flowers. On her hip a small child with round, bright amber eyes that were nearly identical to the stout male in the middle. The other male was lanky, with ice blue eyes that were empty. Dark red blood trailed from his temple and abdomen. The stout male held a shard of crystal that dripped red. He bore one mark on his right collarbone, that trickled gold blood right above his heart.
“Your line has always cheated their way through life, Ganti.” The lanky male spit out shakily, slowly sinking to the grass.
“My lineage has always protected my people,” Ganti claimed with a grunt, shoving the crystal shard into the right side of the male’s chest. Driving right through his heart.
The female quickly covered the amber eyed child’s eyes. Trying to shield her from witnessing a loss of life. She despised her partner’s violent tendencies. The child fought hard to see what her father was doing with the male but was no match for her mother.
Ganti stood over the lifeless body, rolling it over onto its back with his foot. He glared at the group that had stood behind the male, slowly pulling his crystal shard from the heart.
“Anganti filth,” He sneered. “Our people will no longer share a home with you. You are to leave and go across the Lasii River, go disappear from my people. If I see even one of you, babe or elder, they won’t return home.”
The Anganti hesitated briefly before slipping through the jungle towards the river. One Anganti walked towards Ganti, stopping only a few strides away.
“Please, let me take my son with me.” She begged, gesturing towards the lifeless male.
Ganti squeezed the crystal shard. “Sunachi will remain here as a reminder to all that we, the Jupanti, will not cower in the shadow of chiv’te.” Monsters.
The female didn’t try to argue with him. She simply hung her head and followed her people into the jungle. Ganti sighed as he approached the Jupanti. Hands clapped at his back, echoed by the cheers. ‘Ganti the Great, Ganti our Savior!’ After the excitement died down a lean male approached him.
“We need to strengthen our people,” the male started. “The Jupanti needs a leader that is strong and wise.”
The Jupanti murmured in agreement.
“That should be you Ganti,” he continued. “You have more than proven that you’re worthy of this. Not only that, I will aid you as your faithful servant.”
“Then you shall all call me Unati,” He declared. “My wife shall be your Unala. Together we shall expand and better our ways.”
