Chapter I
Elijah was bored, yes he was always surrounded by work almost every day, but he just wanted something to spice up his life nothing to loud or annoying just something new and quiet.
Mason barged into the office and Elijah glared at him.
"Sorry boss, I didn't know you were in a bad mood, maybe attending the party at the auditorium will bring up your spirits?" Mason asked hopefully as Silas rolled his eyes.
"We are going" Mason choked on his saliva as he watched his boss walk out of the room with wide eyes. Silas was surprised too.
"Did he just say we're going?"
"He did" Mason answered with a frown then he smiled.
"Let's go get ready before he changes his mind!" Mason said as he dragged Silas to his feet as he ran to his room.
"Hurry up!"
The party was in an hour and Elijah was already on the sofa with Silas waiting for Mason.
Elijah wore a black shirt with the first three buttons undone, his brown hair styled to perfection with a blazer and a pair of black pants and black leather dress shoes. He was scrolling through his emails as he waited.
Mason finally strolled in.
"I'm ready" Silas rolled his eyes at his declaration.
"I feel like you were a woman in your past life"
"Shut up Silas do you know what it means to be seen with Elijah, he's basically a super star. I have to look my best so I can 'comfort' the women that he rejects"
"You're such a man whore"
Elijah stood up and Silas and Mason followed him outside to where the limo was waiting for them. They got in and we're on their way. Elijah had been countlessly invited for this events and he never showed up only Mason and Silas attended in his favor. Never had he shown until today.
Obviously Elijah was a man of power and respect, so imagine the shock of the host and other guests when he walked into the room with his body guards and his representatives. As soon as he was in, the guards spread to their respective posts.
"Mr Roman! It is a pleasure to finally see you please have a seat"
He nodded sitting at the chair assigned to him. In these parties it always started out as a normal party with drinks and food and entertainment but everyone was aware as to why they were here. They were all hungry for the next phase of the event. The human market.
It was basically a set of human beings that are trained into becoming pets, slaves or servants. If you were looking for any of that this was the best place to be. A beautiful red head sat beside him with a seductive smile.
"Mr Roman, how have you been?"
Elijah didn't even glance at her, he just kept sipping on his drink.
"My name is Delilah"
Silas rolled his eyes while Mason was trying not to laugh.
She opened her mouth to talk again but Silas cut her off.
"It's obvious he's not going to answer you Delilah, so why don't you just shut up and get out of his sight"
She over exaggeratingly gasped with red cheeks and Silas rolled his eyes again while Mason let out a surpressed laugh. She stood up and walked away embarrassed when she heard Mason's laughter.
"Damn I had forgotten how good being with boss in parties were"
"I personally think it's just annoying. She knew she wasn't going to get anything out of him the moment he didn't respond to her. Yet she was still trying, it's just pathetic"
"I think it's funny because of the embarrassed look they get when they're walking away"
"It's kind of your fault since you wouldn't let them go without laughing your ass off"
"I can't hold it much longer it's not my fault they thought they had a chance with him"
Mason scanned the area for where they served food.
"I'm gonna go get something to eat you can sit here and pretend you're not hungry" he stood up going to the food arena.
He came back to the table with a big tray of food.
"FYI all this belongs to me" Silas rolled his eyes and picked a plate of food and Mason whined.
"The food part is just behind us stop stealing"
"Shut up"
Mason rolled his eyes and started eating just as he finished eating the host went on stage.
"Please turn your seats to the stage the auction is about to begin"
