Chapter 1 - All Hail the new World

France, Marcoing

September 28th 1918 13:16

The Trenches are flooded with German soldiers. Noises of war banging from left and right. Ash, blood and dirt flying through the air. Screams of rage and suffering fill out the dirty ashy atmosphere. In between all this commotion, a routine roll call.

“GUSTAV SCHMIDT!”

“JAWOHL!” (YES)

The walls of the Trenches seem heavy and Unstable.

“SIEGFRIED BIRKENHAUER”

“HIER KOMMANDANT!” (HERE COMMANDER)

Crates, full of ammunition, weapons and other means to kill.

“ADOLF HITLER!”

September 28th 1918 13:57

A rush into a French Village. Shots flying left and right. The feeling of death approaching. Where ever you look, soldiers are getting shot, blown apart and slashed like animals.

Adolf Hitler rushing in, his Comrades falling one by one. Enemy Soldiers approaching. Another one dead, two others down, he flees.

A shot in the Back.

“SANITÄTER” (MEDIC)

“SANITÄTER ICH WURDE GETROFFEN” (MEDIC I WAS HIT)

Lying down in a crater he tried to hide, but there he came:

A British Soldier, pointing the barrel of the rifle right at his head.

“Do NOT Move”

Hitler, filled with fear and pain, as a last-ditch effort, reached for his gun.

A single shot, right through his skull, blood pouring out just as the soul leaves his body.

Germany, Berlin

November 27th 2014 04:34

“I can feel the wind between my hair, cars are racing by. I smell the water.”

Standing on the edge of a Bridge was an average sized Guy. Brown hair, stunning hazel eyes, unshaved for at least 2 months, overall defeated and Crying.

“I miss you” he whispers.

He wears a hoodie, a relaxing fit of sweatpants and comfortable looking shoes.

“I Miss You”

On his neck, a necklace with a ring attached, a painful reminder of the most painful day of his life.. The day his wife died.

“I MISS YOU” he now shouted and cried into the shining skyline.

Filled with emotions and emptiness alike he takes his last step forward.

“May we find our peace together”
