THE WINGS

The Desert Lands are divided and conquered, owned and nurtured, by the seventeen wings that

reside upon its brilliant expanses. Every Wing is unique and revered for its skills, scales,

and leadership. Every dragon is given a fair chance to move up the ranks of their Wing, taken

on as an apprentice when they turn twenty and age out of the youth years. They are trained

and taught the importance of the Wing by their trainer, and when a decade has passed, they

move on to gain status and duties.

No one ever questions the way of the Wing.

Scale Color-Mellow colors, dusty yellow, mild green, unremarkable dark blue

Main Fortress-Large stone tunnel network under the ground

Leader-Bluntclaws

[Sepia Wing]

Scale Color-Green; any shade of green, as long as it’s green

Main Fortress-amongst the treetops in the first of the Triforests; makes for easy camouflage

Leader-Wiryshoulders

[Tourmaline Wing]

Scale Color-anything bright, eyeball scorching, and makes you want to punch them

Main Fortress-smack in the middle of the Desert Lands where they can lord it over everyone

Leader-Quietmouth

[Emmaline Wing]

Scale Color-rich shades, cerulean blue, velvet purple, these guys are really pretty

Main Fortress-live in the second of the Triforests, the one entirely of delicate bluebells

Leader-Clearvoice

[Lapis Wing]

Scale Color-they’re as blue as Sepia Wing is green

Main Fortress-Undersea, where corals are woven together like a beaver dam but more glorious

Leader-Simplescales

[Peridot Wing]

Scale Color-purple, bronze, sometimes green. The green dragons are called the luckiest because the peridot stone is green

Main Fortress-Off near the outskirts of the Desert Lands, don’t ask me why

Leader-Hookedtalon

[Jade Wing]

Scale Color-deep, jewel red. These dragons actually match the color of their stone

Main Fortress-in the canyons, where it’s hot and dry and empty, but they can survive there, and actually prefer it

Scale Color-rusty orange, copper sometimes

Main Fortress-on an island where they can sulk without being disturbed

Leader-Loyalsoul

Scale Color-white, gray, some a few born black; for them, black is considered lucky, and white common

Main Fortress-in the field of Springs; you know those geysers? those.

Leader-Resiliantmind

[Topaz Wing]

Scale Color-turqiouse, sometimes more green than blue, sometimes more blue than green; Sepia and Emmaline Wing are throwing a fit

Main Fortress-nomadic. Topaz is always moving, always hunting, always sharp (or so they say)

Leader-Clippedwing

Scale Color-pink; soft pinks, hot pinks, and baby pinks, sometimes white

Main Fortress-on the seashore, right on the bay of the sea where Lapis Wing is. They collect shells and weave them into necklaces.

Leader-Compassionateheart

Scale Color-sweet reds, and glassy oranges, and sunshine yellows :D

Scale Color-white, pearly white, dusky white, off-white, bone white, cream-white, who knew there were so many shades of white!?

//LANDMARKS OF THE DESERT LANDS//

1- the Triforests.There are three main forests in the Desert Lands, all of them magic. The only sources of real trees you’ll find out there in those deserts. The first and second of the Triforests are inhabited by Wings, but the third is not. The third is used for gatherings of all the Wings, which happens every now and then when they want to glare and yell at each other.

2- the Three Tongued Mountains.There is a range of mountains roping around the Desert Lands. Ruby Wing lives among the cliffs, and Beryl Wing is at the base of the Three Tongued Mountain Range.

3- the Islands.There are a few. One of them has a Wing living there. The rest are used for rest during travel.

4- the Whitewashed Caps.The great sea where the Three Tongued Mountains dip down, and the water flows in. The tips of the waves are crested white, hence the name. The shores are rocky and unfriendly. One Wing lives undersea, and another on the shores.
