Chapter 1
The Will family was one of the most distinguished families in their town.Mr. Will was one of the most respected men in town; a professor at Oxford. Mrs. Will was an extremely elegant and stylish woman. Their son, Jason, having inherited his family’s remarkable genes, was a very handsome and kind boy.
Chapter -1
It was a rainy autumn day. The rain was falling so fiercely it seemed to want to unleash all its pent-up fury. But the lightning flashing within the walls of the Will manor was even more violent. Mr. and Mrs. Will were trying to convince their son, Jason, to go to the boarding school. “For God’s sake, Mom, I don’t want to go to Bergfried! I’ve told you a million times. Why do you keep insisting?” Jason said. He felt that neither his mother nor his father understood him. “Jason, we’ve given you everything you’ve ever wanted until now. You’re being unfair to us. We made this decision for your own good. For once, respect our judgment,” said Mr. Will. “Everything will be wonderful, I promise you, my dear. Bergfried is a beautiful and well-equipped place. It will be so good for you,” said Mrs. Will. She was trying to calm Jason down. But his eyes were blazing with anger. He stubbornly repeated that he did not want to go to the boarding school. But his parents were adamant. They wanted him to complete high school there. To avoid saying or doing something he would regret, Jason retreated to his room. There, he saw his suitcase, already packed and waiting by the door. Everything was settled. All the plans were finalized. He would be going to that godforsaken school.
The next day, they were to leave for the school. Jason’s belongings were loaded into the car. They were ready to go. Mr. Will was wearing his suit. Mrs. Will, with all her usual grace, wore a long, fitted black dress. Seeing their meticulously chosen outfits, Jason thought, “As if banishing me isn’t enough, look at how they’re dressed for the occasion!” He didn’t utter a single word the entire journey. He was deeply hurt and upset. He believed his family didn’t want him anymore, and he sank into deep thought for the entire ride.
After taking the final turn, Bergfried appeared on the horizon. “We’re here, sweetheart. Look how majestic it is,” Mrs. Will said, but her words fell on deaf ears. Jason began to survey his surroundings.
