Being snowed in doesn't change that until a confession changes everything. Now, we pick up some time later when Maya wants to return to Snow Valley as she tries to set Jonathan up with her friend Terra.

Chapter 1

Kai’s POV

“Seriously, Maya, get up. If we don’t leave now, we’re going to be late.” And it will ruin my surprise. But of course I can’t tell her that. I have to act like it’s just a regular day, even though it’s far from it.

“I’m getting up. Stop being moody. It isn’t even that late.”

“It’s after 10.”

“Oh. Shit. Are you sure?” Her eyes widened as she sat up in bed.

“Of course I’m sure and we have to pick up Terra before we hit the road.” Maya and I have officially been together for a month and she’d been adamant that she wanted to go back to Snow Valley for Valentines, only she’d wanted to set Jonathan up.

I haven’t said a word to him about who the date is, because I’ve been sworn to secrecy. I was surprised when I learned that it was Terra. The crazy thing is, Terra doesn’t know that she’s on a blind date.

She thinks we’re going to Detroit for the weekend and Maya asked her to tag along. I asked Maya how that would work when she got there and realized that she was being set up. I didn’t want things to go bad and then Maya be upset, but she assures me that she’s planned accordingly.

My woman and her ideas. I look at her as she shimmy under the cover that she wrapped around her shoulders. I love her. We officially have been together for a month, but I’ve loved her forever.

“Baby, move it.”

“I need coffee.” She groaned.

“Nightstand.” Her head turned quickly towards the nightstand. She grabbed her mug and took a sip, sighing as if it’s the most amazing thing.

“You love me.”

“I do love you, but you know who else loves you?”

“Who?”

“Moody Kai as you like to call him and he’s very close to seeing you.”

“Okay, okay. I’m getting up. It’s not my fault that someone had me up late last night.”

“How is it not your fault when you were the one that was begging for it? Oh, God. Please, Kai. Please. I need more. Harder. Was that not you?”

Instead of responding, she walked her ass to the bathroom and turned on the shower. She knew I was right. If she was tired, it wasn’t my fault alone.

Twenty minutes later she’s coming out of the bathroom fully dressed and rushing me like I’m the one that’s making her late. “What’s funny?” She asked, because I can not contain my laughter. She talks about me, but when she’s tired, she’s mean as hell.

“Your little bossy ass.”

“Am I being mean? I’m sorry. I will sleep on the way so I won’t ruin the ride up. I should be well rested in another hour.” She paused and kissed me. “You still love me though, right?”

“How can I not? Of course I do.” Her smile was so big as if I had given her a million bucks. This is why it’s so easy to love this woman. “We better hurry up before I take you back to my room and tie you to the bed. Did you have to wear that jumpsuit?”

“What’s wrong with my jumpsuit?”

“Not a damn thing other than it’s making my dick painfully hard.” When she walked out of the bathroom, I almost attacked her then. The fucking thing looks like it’s painted on, leaving me with a perfect view of every fucking curve.

“Don’t worry. You can have as much fun as you want when we get to the cabin.”

“I’m gonna hold you to that.”

“I hope so.” She winked and headed out the door. All I had to do was lock everything up and hop in the car. Everything was already loaded. Now, it was time for us to get on the road. Hopefully this time will be just as good as the first.
