A Place to Be?

A while back I had a Patreon. I shared a lot of stuff. My thoughts. My works in progress. Sketches, drawing practice, finished art. Story research. All sorts of things. All for the price of $0 a month. Having it on Patreon allowed me to keep it behind an 18+ wall. It enabled me to post things that weren't finished, published stories. Not all of my content was allowed, but a lot of it was. I didn’t want and still do not wish to charge money for my content.

Unfortunately, after six months there, Patreon was no longer happy for me to keep charging my followers $0 while having NSFW content. Charging was a “hard no” boundary for me. So I left.

But finding a new home was problematic. I wanted to share things that weren’t finished works. I wanted to share text and images. SFW stuff and NSFW stuff. I wanted to be where people were already and didn’t have to make yet another account. I wanted reactions and comments and a way to engage with my readership.

Finding a place was harder than I thought.

At the suggestion of some friends, I set up a subreddit, but I never really clicked with it.

In my time here at inkitt I’ve come across the occasional person who’s set up a diary or journal as a book. So I thought, why not try that?

This book will be my new experiment in finding a place to be. A place to share not just what I’ve done but what I’m doing.

I’ll be posting about art as well as writing, and both SFW and NSFW. So, this is a content warning that there will me explicit images from time to time (which inkit allows within stories, as long as appropriately tagged https://inkitt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12733557371154-Pictures-in-Stories.)

The cover for this “book” I made on canva. I would like to make my own cover (with my own art) eventually, but for now I’m not sure what it should look like.

Please do feel free to make suggestions of what you'd like to see here.
