UNIT 1: THE INVITATION
CHAPTER 1: 3.17 AM
Charlotte wakes up from a vivid dream....... Of standing on a marble staircase it seems like a huge mansion, but there's all pitch darkness, even though she sees a silhouette of a man as if approaching her his footsteps unheard... She can't hear a thing
Except a name... Evelyn.. Evelyn.... Evelyn...
Her eyes snap open at the thought of the nightmare coming true she rubs her eyes groggily and checks the time
It's 3:17 sharp.. too late for midnight too early for morning suddenly she hears someone knocking on the door... The knocking is gentle yet consistent
She opens the door hesitantly to see a man covered in a whole black outfit his face isn't visible but he hand overs a cremè coloured envelope and says
For Charlotte Hale.
Without saying anything else he vanishes in the fog.
