Time Rift – Chapter One: Memories Before the Storm

The house stood quietly in the outskirts of the city, bathed in the soft light of a morning sun filtering through dusty curtains. The faint sounds of daily life drifted in from the street, mingling with the scent of old wood and books.

Youssef sat in a wooden chair in the corner, staring out the window at the garden. His younger brother, Adam, played quietly on the floor, occasionally pausing to gaze at some small detail as if the world fascinated him more than the toys themselves. Meanwhile, Leila wandered around the house, tidying here and there, and laughing at their little jokes.

Life had been simple, despite the pressures of school and the errands of everyday living. Each sibling carried a part of the family’s spirit: Youssef, responsible and always protective of his younger siblings; Leila, cheerful and mischievous, turning even small moments into laughter; and Adam, quiet and reflective, seeing the world through eyes that seemed older than his years.

Yet, behind the simplicity of life, the past carried secrets they could never have anticipated.

Years ago, a tragic car accident had shattered their world. Their parents, once the pillars and warm embrace of the home, were gone in an instant. The memory of that day remained vivid, an unhealed wound, leaving the three siblings alone to navigate a life suddenly filled with emptiness and longing.

Since that day, the house had changed. Rooms that once rang with laughter became silent at times, while at other moments, they seemed to echo with memories of the past. Youssef, Leila, and Adam each learned to face life in their own ways, carrying the image of their parents in their hearts with every step.

And so began the journey of the three siblings—between the quiet of memory and the weight of loss—before the storms that awaited them would truly begin.
