Chapter 1
If someone had told her…
If someone had gently taken her hands — back when her
world was still innocent and small — and whispered:
"There will come a season when everything inside you feels louder
than the world outside.
A time where you won’t quite be a child, but not yet someone who
feels whole.
A season of aching questions, quiet heartbreaks, and invisible
wars."
Maybe then, she wouldn’t have thought she was the only
one drowning.
Maybe then, when smiles disappeared from familiar
faces…
When love turned to silence…
When loneliness slipped into her room and sat beside her
like a shadow that wouldn’t leave…
She wouldn’t have mistaken the chaos within her for
weakness.
But no one had spoken about these in-between years —
These nameless, restless, sacred years
Where you lose pieces of yourself trying to understand
who you’re becoming.
They told her about good grades, clean friendships, and
“making the most of it.”
But no one told her how it feels to cry in the dark without
knowing why.
To carry expectations like bricks on her chest.
To outgrow people, dreams, and even parts of her own
heart.
They didn’t mention how your body changes, but your
soul changes even more —
quieter, deeper, in ways you can't explain.
So she broke, silently.
With smiles that didn’t reach her eyes.
With laughter that tasted like survival.
With a phone full of people, and a heart full of questions
like:
"Am I enough?"
"Does anyone really see me?"
"Will it always feel like this?"
And one night, as the stars blinked indifferently above
her, she whispered:
"If someone had told me it would be like this… would I have been
braver? Or more afraid?"
And the silence answered her with something she had
never heard before:
Stillness. And strength.
Not loud. Not sudden. But steady.
A strength not born from victories —
But from surviving the days when everything inside her
begged her to give up.
Because no one told her that the loneliest seasons are
sometimes where your soul learns to stand.
That even heartbreak carves space for deeper love.
That the questions you ask at night become the compass
for who you're meant to be.
She is not broken.
She is becoming.
Through every silent scream, every teardrop swallowed,
every morning she chooses to rise —
she is writing a story that even she doesn’t fully
understand yet.
But one day, she will.
One day, she’ll look back at this season — this wilderness
between innocence and identity —
and realize:
This is where her strength was born.
