Emily wanted to complete her masters degree in peace. She left the bustle of Chicago for a quaint quietness she found in Pine Hills. Jaxon finds himself balancing his duty to self and his duty to his pack. His family commitments are beginning to effect his ability to become an attorney. Over the last two years, a serial killer has torn through Pine Hills leaving a wake of dead bodies and questions. Jaxon's family scrambles to protect their pack while also doing their duty to Pine Hills. It all comes to a head when Emily finds herself in the path of the killer and Jaxon must protect her. As the killer draws nearer, Emily's and Jaxon's love grows deeper.
