The Great Cafeteria Disaster
Max was known for two things in high school: being ridiculously clumsy and thinking he was cooler than he actually was. On Monday morning, he had a plan—to impress everyone in the cafeteria by carrying a tray stacked high with food… without spilling a thing.
“Watch and learn, people,” he whispered to his friend, Sam, who was trying not to laugh.
Max strutted into the cafeteria, tray held high. For a few glorious seconds, he was a hero. People gasped. Some even clapped. Then it happened.
A stray backpack strap caught the edge of his tray. Food flew everywhere. Spaghetti landed in someone’s hair, a soda can exploded like a fountain, and Max slipped, sliding across the floor like a cartoon character.
When he finally stopped, lying in a pile of mashed potatoes and embarrassment, the entire cafeteria was silent… then erupted into laughter.
Max groaned. “I just wanted to look cool…”
Sam shook his head, laughing so hard he almost cried. “You always find new ways to make an entrance, man.”
From that day on, Max became a legend—not for being cool, but for being the guy who could somehow turn lunch into a full-blown comedy show.
