Its the first day of school. Eli jolts out of his bed, still struggling to open his eyes. 'Eli, you're late for school.' His mom says. 'yeah I know I know, I'm brushing my teeth.' Eli shouts. He's almost late for school. He doesn't even eat breakfast his mother made him. He hops on his bike and goes to school. 'Yo! Eli, over here, bro!' Luca hollers down the hall. 'Hey, boys. we can not be screaming at 7:30 in the morning.' Ms Amanda says, looking very stern. 'Pft, not our fault we have to wake up at 7 am.' While Luca argues with MS A, Eli looks over to his left and sees a girl in all black. Pants, shoes, hat, even the hair. She looks like a ghost. "Hm..I should go say hi to her. She looks lonely.' he thinks to himself. He starts walking over, not trying to disturb the girl. '*inhale* I got this.' he says under his breath. The girl looks at him before he could even get to her. And to his surprise, she had the most bright, huge, hazel eyes.'Uh.. why are you starring at me like that?' she says. He doesn't even notice what she said. 'Uh...hello..?' that's when he finally snapped out of it and gained consciousness. 'Oh shit, sorry, its just your eyes are really beautiful, and you seem nice. Would you care to be my friend?' Eli says, nervously. Oh, um of course!' she says in a polite tone. 'Oh um, I didn't catch your name. what is it?' Eli says. 'Oh yeah, my name's Samuel Hatoki, I come from Japan, but you can call me Sam.' 'Uh my name is Elijah Smith, but everyone calls me Eli. Even my mom.' 'Also, do you know what's happening over there?' Sam says. 'ugh, Luca, stop arguing with MS.a!' he says loudly. 'No, but you- ah, God bless ya Elijah, God bless ya.' Ms. a says. 'Oh um, are you new here?' Eli says. 'Uh yeah, I just moved here from Nagoya in june.' Sam says, shyly and quiet. 'Do you want me to show you around..?' Eli says in a nervous voice. 'yeah! that actually would be great. ' Sam says. 'Okay, lets go!'
