Chapter 1

The crystal chandelier above the ballroom shimmered like a constellation of stars, casting soft golden light across the elegant crowd below. Laughter, quiet negotiations, and the clink of wine glasses blended into the air of celebration.

Tonight was no ordinary party.

Some of the most powerful business leaders in the city had gathered under one roof—not just to celebrate success, but to witness something far more significant.

Jony Mittal’s success party.

Guests moved gracefully across the polished floor, dressed in expensive suits and shimmering gowns, exchanging polite smiles while discussing business deals.

A woman approached the host of the evening with a warm smile.

“Mr. Mittal, how is your health? It has been a long time since we last met,” she said politely. “You seem happier than ever tonight. Is there another reason for this grand celebration besides winning Best Businessman of the Year?”

A few others joined in curiously.

“We’ve also heard your son is… difficult to deal with,” one of them added with a laugh.

Jony Mittal simply smiled.

“To be honest,” he replied calmly, “he is.”

The guests chuckled softly.

“But don’t worry,” Mittal continued, lifting his glass slightly. “You will understand everything once my son arrives.”

The guests raised their glasses and continued their conversations.

Then—

The sound of a car engine echoed outside the entrance.

The ballroom slowly fell silent.

One by one, the guests turned toward the grand doors, curiosity flickering in their eyes.

Guards rushed outside and opened the car door.

A tall, strikingly handsome man stepped out.

Whispers immediately spread across the crowd.

“That's him…”

“Yash…”

The famous actor.

Known for his powerful performances and disciplined lifestyle, Yash had earned admiration both in the entertainment industry and the business world. Despite his fame, he was known for something even more rare—his honesty. He never accepted work that compromised his principles.

And he never pretended to like someone he didn’t trust.

As he walked into the ballroom, conversations stopped and eyes followed him.

Jony Mittal stepped forward with a proud smile.

“How are you, my dear son… Yash?”

Yash nodded politely and greeted his father.

A few minutes later, Jony Mittal walked onto the stage.

“Excuse me, everyone.”

The ballroom quieted instantly.

“I want to thank all of you for coming here tonight on such short notice to celebrate this success with me. Your presence truly means a lot.”

He paused briefly before continuing.

“But tonight is not just about celebration.”

The guests exchanged curious glances.

“There is an important announcement I wish to make.”

He looked toward Yash.

“I, Jony Mittal, am officially transferring all my property and company shares to my only heir… my son, Yash.”

The ballroom erupted into applause.

People rushed to congratulate him.

Amid the noise, a man approached Yash quietly.

“Congratulations,” he said. “I’m looking forward to working with you. It’s been a long time… I never expected to see you here.”

He turned to leave with his glass of wine.

“Wait.”

The man stopped.

Yash walked toward him slowly, raising his glass slightly.

“Cheers.”

The man frowned.

“Cheers? What do you mean?”

“You came to congratulate me,” Yash replied calmly. “But you were leaving without a toast.”

For a few seconds, the two men simply stared at each other.

Then Yash spoke again.

“Luv… this time I’m not going to give up anything because of you.”

The tension between them was impossible to ignore.

They had once been childhood friends.

But that was a long time ago.Luv’s expression hardened, but he said nothing.

Instead, he turned away and walked back toward his seat where his family was sitting.

A few moments later, he approached Jony Mittal along with his father and congratulated him warmly for winning the Best Businessman of the Year award.

The applause and celebration continued in the ballroom.

But Yash was no longer interested in the party.

With a serious expression on his face, he quietly walked out of the hall.

“Yash, wait—” Jony called out, trying to stop him.

But Yash didn’t turn back.

He walked straight toward the exit, ignoring the curious gazes of the guests.

Outside, the cool night air greeted him as he headed toward his car.

Rahul, who had been observing everything from a distance, quickly followed him out of the party.
