Birthday Baby

You woke up to the smell of vanilla and something burning. A dangerous combo.

You barely had time to sit up before Felix burst into your room holding a tray of slightly overcooked cookies.

“Happy birthday!” He said in that signature deep voice, placing the tray beside your bed with a wide smile. “Don’t worry, they only look like hockey pucks.”

You laughed, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. The tray also included your favorite drink, a sparkly candle, and a tiny jar labeled “Emergency Glitter.” Classic Felix. Before you could reply, your door swung open again.

“YOU’RE FINALLY A YEAR CLOSER TO DEATH,” Seungmin announced, dramatically throwing a balloon into your room like a grenade. “Congrats. I made you a playlist. It’s called ‘Help Me, I’m Dating Han.’ You’re welcome.”

Downstairs, the chaos was already full-blown. Hyunjin was stringing up fairy lights around the living room like he was decorating Versailles.

I.N was giggling while taping a ridiculous photo of you (taken mid-yawn) onto a “Happy Birthday” poster.

Lee Know was somehow baking cookies silently, letting no one help. He handed you a plushie shaped like a cat.“This is for you. And for my cats. Don’t lose it.” (Pause) “Also, happy birthday or whatever.”

And then came Changbin. Wearing a glitter jacket, blasting music from a Bluetooth speaker, and rapping an original song called 'It’s Y/N’s Birthday, Get Loud (feat. Protein Bars).'

You nearly cried from laughing. He ended the performance with finger hearts and a water bottle mic drop.

Finally, when the noise settled just a bit, Han walked in. No flashy entrances. Just him, holding a small, wrapped box and a familiar soft grin. “Hey, birthday baby,” he said, pulling you into a warm hug. “I’ve got something for you. But you have to open it upstairs. Alone.”

The teasing from the others started immediately.“OHHHHH—ALONE?” “GROSS.” “Protect the children!”

Back in your room, Han sat beside you on the bed and handed over the box. Inside was a scrapbook. Homemade. Messy. Perfect. Each page was filled with Polaroids, ticket stubs, little jokes, and doodles. Some were full-page comics of funny things you’d said. Others had letters he’d written on late nights when he missed you.

Then you noticed the teddy bear at the bottom of the box. “Squeeze it,” he said, a little too proud of himself. The bear let out a staticy, chaotic voice recording:

“HEY, IT’S YOUR BOYFRIEND. YOU’RE AMAZING. I LOVE YOU. AND IF ANYONE FORGETS TO TELL YOU TODAY—REMEMBER: YOU’RE HOT AND HILARIOUS. OKAY BYE—OH WAIT—MARRY ME. LOL. KIDDING. UNLESS—”

You looked up at him, laughing, then tearing up, then laughing again.“Too much?” he asked.“Perfect,” you said, and kissed him.

[A/N] heyy, thank you for reading my story, it doesn’t really have a concept and only 4 chapters but it came to me and I got the urge to just throw it out there yk? It was supposed to be a oneshot but it was to long for that so i devided it into four short chapters, anyways, have a nice day and see ya :)
