Chapter 1 The Twin-Blood Moon
Above the palace of Lunaris Dominion, the sky split open with a violent howl half drenched in silver moonlight, half soaked in blood-red glow. It was a celestial event ancient texts swore would never return. Yet there it was.
the Twin-Blood Moon.
In the royal chambers, Queen Selene Valtoria gripped the bedpost, her fangs bared in pain as another contraction ripped through her body. Her husband, King Aldric White, stood beside her, claws extended, eyes full of both fear and devotion.
“Selene… it’s time.”
A scream tore from her throat, not human, not vampire, not wolf. Something beyond all three. A sound that cracked the windows and forced everyone outside the chamber to their knees.
When the wailing stopped, a silence fell so complete it felt like death.
Then a baby cried.
A soft, raw, powerful sound vibrating the air. The torches flickered. The moon brightened.
The midwives trembled as they looked upon the newborn.
His skin glowed faintly.
His eyes though barely open flashed silver… then crimson… then both at once.
A wolf’s aura clashed with a vampire’s hunger around him, swirling like a storm.
“He carries both,” whispered the head midwife. “No… he carries more than both.”
The royal seer stepped forward, trembling.
“He is the one spoken of in the Prophecy of Ruin and Rebirth.”
King Aldric stiffened. “Say the words.”
The seer inhaled sharply, then spoke:
“The child born under the Twin-Blood Moon with the mark of the fated mate
shall command both fang and fangless,
moon and shadow,
life and death.
He will unite the fractured…
or drown the realms in his wrath.”
Queen Selene gathered her newborn against her chest, her mother instinct kicking in protective instinct igniting her vampire aura in a red glow.
“He will not drown anything,” she hissed. “He will be our son. Our king. Our salvation.”
But even she felt the truth vibrating beneath her words.
The baby’s presence radiated power even she Queen of Nocthra Court feared.
Across the kingdom, another cry pierced the night
In the quarters of the royal Beta, a girl was born Isabella Grey with the same Twin-Blood Moon overhead.
When the midwife cleaned her shoulder, she gasped.
A glowing mark pulsed against the infant’s skin, a crescent moon twined with a blood red rose.
“Impossible…” the Beta’s mate whispered.
“The mark of the Soul-Bound.”
Go sent for the oracle, the beta said to the maid.
When Isabella opened her eyes, they glowed molten gold, the sign of a future Alpha-she-wolf.
When the oracle is invited into the chamber and checked the new born baby girl she gasps
Bound.
Fated.
She is the tether.
He is the flame.”
Two children born under one celestial heart.
We have to take her to the alpha king because his son bears the same mark on his body .
IN THE ROYAL CHAMBER
When Ian was lifted from his mother’s arms and placed close to Isabella, a soft glow appeared on his mark on the left side of his collarbone and the same phenomenon was happening to the Isabella
The symbol burned into place,a silver crescent moon encircling a blood red rose and the infant could do nothing but cry by the strange sensation they were experiencing
The mark of the Soul-Bound.
The oracle whispered to herself but it was audible to the audience in the chamber
Aldric couldn’t help ask the oracle what this meant to the kingdom and how it was going to affect the new born
It is written in an ancient script of my bloodline that
When moon splits blood and silver light,
and two breaths rise beneath one night,
the Hybrid Prince shall draw his first cry
half shadow, half fang, born of earth and sky.
Marked by the Moon Rose, sacred and feared,
his soul forever to one maiden steered.
Her heart his tether, her mark his guide,
two destinies bound, never to divide.
But ancient foes in darkness creep, those sworn to strike before he wakes from sleep.
Old powers broken, yet not undone,
seek to end the reign before it’s begun.
For should the Soul-Bound fail or fall,
The Hybrid will drown both realm and wall.
But if their marks ignite as one…
a king shall rise, the boundless son.
United, unbroken
or ruined by fate’s choice.”
It’s a blessing for our kingdom but also a disaster. She finished her statement, bowed to the royal, gathered her things before she left the chamber for the royal to organise themselves.
Take your mate and daughter back to your chambers, take care of them and double the guards at the border. We will talk about this tomorrow morning, they kids and their mothers need their rest, Aldric told his friend and beta before he took his son on his arms admiring how cute and adorable he is.
That very night, rogues moved toward the Lunaris palace in massive numbers
Aldric sensed them first, his eyes going gray as he mind linked his beta to ask what was going on.
It was all chaos in the kingdom that very night, many fell, blood was spilled and houses were on fire and the king was hesitant to join his soldiers into the fray. Torn between the safety of his Luna and son and his people
Selene clutched her son in her embrace, fully aware of what was going on and what was going on his mate's mind. “We cannot hold them off forever.”
“No,” he said, voice trembling. “We cannot hold him here at all.” We have to get him to safety if he’s alive we would have hope
Selene, fully aware of what his mate was implying, couldn't help but clutch on his son tightly which prompted the little baby to cry out loud.
With heartbreak in her eyes, Selene ripped open a forbidden portal, a swirling gateway to the human world hesitating only once before kissing her child’s forehead.
“My son… forgive us. We will send you away to save your life.”
They placed the infant into the portal.
The moment he vanished, the magic collapsed, sealing Astraelia away.
And so the prophesied hybrid king, Ian White, fell into the human world powerless, unaware, and alone.
The moon bleeds red as the king and queen lead their strongest warriors towards the enemies while the old and young are protected.
FEW YEARS LATER
Isabella, now two years old, whimpered. The moon pulsed again, the mate bond thrumming even across realms.
From the moment she could walk, Isabella was taught how to fight like a wolf how to strategize like a queen how to command without hesitation how to carry the future of the Lunaris Dominion and how to protect her king even from himself
She studied diplomacy, history, supernatural law, bloodline hierarchies, the moon cycles, and the ancient prophecy tied to Ian.
Her instructors told her:
“You are not just his mate.
You are the one who will anchor him when his power tries to consume him.”
Her Beta father reminded her daily:
“When the time comes, you will go to him…
and he will need you more than the throne ever will.”
Isabella grew strong,disciplined and deadly
Beautiful in a way that looked carved by prophecy itself.
But she also grew restless.
Because the mate mark even at rest pulsed every full moon, reminding her of the boy lost to the human world.
The boy who did not know she existed.
The boy who would grow alone, unaware of his heritage.
Unaware of her.
On Isabella’s sixteenth birthday, the mark burned hotter than ever so intensely she collapsed to her knees.
She was rushed to the oracle
“It’s time,” she whispered.
“The hybrid king stirs. His bloodline awakens.
The king and queen summoned Isabella before the throne in the present of her parents the bata and the female bata of the kingdom
Queen Selene looked at her with the cold elegance of a vampire yet her voice held compassion.
“You have been prepared your entire life for this journey.”
King Aldric added
“You will go to the human world.
You will find him.
You will watch him.
Guide him if you can.
Stop him if the prophecy turns dark.”
Isabella bowed, determination burning in her golden eyes.
“I will find my mate. My king. My destiny.”
And so her path finally aligned with Ian’s.
Two children born under one moon.
Separated by danger.
Prepared by fate.
Soon to collide again in a world where Ian White no longer remembered who he was…
…but his blood was waking up.
