Chapter 1
New city, new town
I often wonder why I had to keep moving when I was younger, but I never got the answers I wanted. I've been here for 2 years, and I love it.
I sit up in my room, rubbing my eyes. I say to myself, New dawn, new day, let's do this!
"hayley, wake up! It's time to get ready," my best friend Alice shouted from the bottom of the stairs.
"I'm coming, Alice, hold up!"
I dragged myself out of bed, got changed, and opted for a black steel-knights tight band top, high-waisted black jeans, and cute zip-up boots. Brushing my long curly brown hair and putting some light makeup on, I was ready to go.
"God, what took you so long? We'll end up being late at this rate", Alice said, staring at me, annoyed that I've taken so long.
"Well, you're dragging me to this stupid concert so you can wait for me"
I wasn't really into Black Steel Knights because I didn't know any of their songs, but Alice loved them and made me buy the T-shirt so I could at least look the part.
"Ok, you got me there, but come on, we need to go, Hayley", Alice excitedly says as we hop out of the door to her car.
We pulled up to the arena, not realising how big this band actually was. Alice looks like she's going to shit her pants, she's that excited.
"Ready to rock out, Hayley bear! Squieals, Alice, shaking my shoulders.
"You're so lucky I love you, Alice, to be doing this, I could be at home watching the AFTER movies while balls deep in my pizza and Coca-Cola" I chuckled as we got out and walked towards the doors of the arena.
"Holy shit, it's absolutely massive, Alice. I didn't think they were this big. I thought they were just a small rock band" I'm absolutely gobsmacked by how huge this arena is. I suppose I'd better look the part and enjoy myself for Alice's sake. At the end of the day, I'm only here to make my best friend happy.
