Life Among Stars
Billions of years ago, stood three gods within the stars. They presided under a celestial group called “The Creators”. These were an assembly of celestial beings who created the universe.
Each of these three gods were surrounded by essence of life itself. Each of them stood within the balance of time, given an important duty to fulfill by the Creators. The first god was designated with the duty to extend creation. The ability to bring life into this world. This god went by the name Elix. The second god was designated with the ability to maintain the flow and energy of life. This god went by the name of Betel. The third and final god was given the ability to end life. A contrast ability to the first, but still an important closing experience that was neccessary to fulfil the cycle of life. This last god went by the name of Molis.
Only a thousand years after creation, Elix extended his power into the creation of two new gods. These next generation gods were given abilites similar to those of Elix. They were tasked by “The Creators” to assist with the protection of Elix. Upon the creation of these two new gods, the brances of life seemed to grow stronger. And from this point on the gods worked together seemlessly for millions of years. Each one eager to contiue and fulfill there role they were given at the beginning of their existence.
But the flow of everything may not always continue as once was. One fateful dark night the god Molis decided he would like to create something himself. This was strictly outside his role given, and was strictly forbidden. But this would not distract him from his desire to extended his own power. He used his abilities to create two new gods, both obtaining an extension of his power.
Molis hid these creations from the other gods and the Creators. He attempted to mask them in the darkest depths of space for as long as he could. But eventually the Creators discovered these descendents.
Molis who was now caught in his lies, was forced to accept his punishment. His life as a god had come to a grim end. He had been turned into a giant star by the Creators. This left Molis unable to move or act, but still exist among the darkness in space. The only ability the Creators gave Molis, was to fulfill his original duty, with the power of death.
Elix and Betel were horrified by this outcome, and went to the Creators to protest this punishment. They believed this was unjustified and may put the cycle of life in jeopardy. They did not see the justification of removing will from Molis. But this emotional protest caused a domino effect that rippled through the cosmos.
The Creators were greatly angered by their own creations protesting their power. This left them with little to no choice. The Creators turned any remaining gods into stars. They removed any free will, only allowing their original duties to fulfill.
Billions of years went by as the stars continued to light up the darkness of space. Different advanced species were drawn to each star. They began to praise and worship them as the gods they once were. These species began to build civilizations around the stars and the power that fell within them. They found a way to connect to the power of the stars, allowing it to flow within them. Together they were known as the Original Seven.
But there was one civilization that was not built around a star or filled with any power. This civilization went be the name of Nox. A civilization built around the powerless. A group of the rejected. A group of the trash dwellers and criminals that make up the stars. But also of the innocent who have fallen too far. Or the ones exiled to darkness.
This was a civilization about the dreamers. The ones who wished for oppurtunity. The ones that fought for change. To be apart of Nox for some was a death sentence. It was a nightmare not yet dreamt of.
For others it was all they had. A chance to change the darkness at the edges of the sky. The ability to finally seek a life among the stars.
