The GC That Changed Everything

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Tejas and Bella meet as strangers in a chaotic online group chat. Tejas is calm and quiet, Bella is loud and chaotic — complete opposites. Their random chat turns into daily conversations, and slowly they become each other’s safest space. They face many online misunderstandings, missed replies, and overthinking, but every fight only makes their bond stronger. People around them doubt their “online friendship,” but Tejas and Bella prove it’s real, loyal, and unbreakable. Without ever meeting, they become the most important person in each other’s lives — a friendship built on trust, comfort, chaos, and honesty.

  • Online Friendship
  • chaos × calm
  • online strangers ➝ soul-level best friends
  • miscommunication but unbreakable bond
  • emotional breakdown nights
  • comfort calls without cameras
  • “Did you eat?” texts
  • saving each other without meeting
  • A bond built on trust, not touch

The GC wasn’t meant to matter.

Just a random group chat created for a school event—

Full of strangers sending memes,

Half of them muted,

Half pretending to be active.

Tejas joined quietly.

A simple “hi”, typed in perfect lowercase, then silence.

He planned to disappear into the background like always—

Just another name lost in the notification list.

But Fate doesn’t knock.

Sometimes, it pings.

BING.

“WHO SAID HI LIKE THEY’RE APPLYING FOR A JOB 😭😭”

— Bella.

Tejas stared at the message.

He didn’t know this girl.

He didn’t know her chaos, her moods, her loud typing, her soft heart.

Not yet.

Across the screen, Bella laughed at her own text,

Not knowing she had just spoken to someone

Who would one day become her safest place.

A stranger would soon turn into

Midnight conversations,

Shared playlists,

Comfort on the worst days,

Chaos on the best ones.

But right now?

They were just two names in a GC—

One too quiet,

One too loud.

Neither of them knew yet…

That this tiny moment,

This silly message,

This accidental interaction—

would change everything.

PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel

lblomme: I always love a story where good overcomes evil. The sad start, the growth, and ultimate strength of the main character was well done. The story never lagged and ultimately delivered a happy ending even for characters who were less than stellar. Well done!

Silver's Second Chance

Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
