PROLOGUE
YEAR: 2100
The story of a boy named Malix—and just that, is a horrific one to follow. Who this boy turned out to be in the end is up to interpretation for the human race of the future—but for right now, this is our future.
And it’s far from beautiful.
Close to total corruption.
But Malix is the boy who can change that. And if there is even one human being reading this story a century after the year of 2099, then he did. He finally changed the world. His ambition worked. And the people who exist now in unity must never undo that. Or we as a society will repeat the worst the world has ever endured.
Malix was only five years old when he was truly born. The last petal of a rose withering away. Always quiet and drawn to anger. But that’s when a hand decided to guide him: Chancellor Han. Han ruled an organization called The Resistance. It was founded when ESTIENCE started to slowly take over towns, cities, and then countries over forty years ago. The Resistance didn’t like the control. Their mission was to take them down entirely by traversing through tunnels underneath the most popularized city ESTIENCE controlled—and planning the right time to strike.
They took in many children to train for the vision of a revolution. The girls with precision, and the boys with their fists. Slowly, a small group of rebels grew into hundreds. Yet, only one boy stood out. His dark hair couldn’t hide him, and his electric blue eyes kept anyone from looking away. While spoken of in this light by Han, Malix was completely oblivious to those around him.
All but a few feared Malix.
Han believed he was perfect.
Malix never lost a fight, he was the ideal warrior. A beacon of hope. The inspiration where one day the rebels apart of the Resistance would see the lights on the buildings again without locking eyes with the face of a tyrant. Specifically, Dr. Welmort, the owner of ESTIENCE. It was believed the corporation was behind the recent teenagers gone missing, and the Resistance would rather collapse on itself before giving up on proving it.
And now, in the age where ESTIENCE is at its peak, the revolution must start soon. An exciting new page for Malix to turn. The depths of the rocky terrain deep below could no longer keep Malix alive. He needed to do something. He needed to fight.
Still, the fight may have not been one he was ready for.
In all respects, keep the future alive and away from our mistakes.
This may be our future, but this is his story of change.
