Section 1: The Unspoken lessons of yesterday

It had been a long time since I had

walked this particular path. It wasn't a physical road, but a memory, dusty and overgrown, that led back to a day I'd spent in the rain.

I remembered the water, cold and relentless, soaking through my jacket and chilling me to the bone. I had been angry that day, shouting at the sky as if it were a person to blame. I had felt betrayed by the world and its promises of sunshine.

I had expected the memory to feel bitter, to make me shiver with a residual cold, but it didn't. Instead, I found a quiet, unspoken lesson tucked away in the folds of my mind. I hadn't just been soaked; I had been cleansed. The rain hadn't just been a hardship; it had been a test of my own endurance. It had taught me that even when the sky pours down on you, you can still keep walking. You can still breathe.

I smiled, a gentle, knowing curve of my lips. That day had taught me nothing I could have been told in a lecture or a motivational speech. It was an unspoken lesson, learned only by feeling the cold sting of the water and choosing to keep going. That quiet, stubborn strength was mine, and it was a lesson I carried every day.

Quenda: Overall a good story. Looks like it is in need of a good proof reader as it contradicts itself at times...but overall a good story.

bushbaby: Really fantastic book, despite the MFC background it felt like a satisfying, almost cheesy happy book. While her background is a challenge in itself, I would have loved to see some other challenge the couple had to overcome or even the clan to lean into the bear side more. Bloodlines

lblomme: I always love a story where good overcomes evil. The sad start, the growth, and ultimate strength of the main character was well done. The story never lagged and ultimately delivered a happy ending even for characters who were less than stellar. Well done!
