From: Day, To: Night

Egypt

3000 BCE.

A night time fermement...

Helios zips across the sky holding a scrolled message for Nŭt, with a heavy heart he delivers this message with great haste as this maybe a declaration of war or a simple love letter, which ever the content of this parchment leans it could be catastrophic to both worlds.

Helios in his flame lit chariot sees Nŭt, she projects herself as a bird sitting up on a perch made of light at the top of her palace. Though she is often shown as the night sky filled with stars and emitting her galaxies of light but this was an invention by her architects, so she doesn't have to be present as the sky freeing herself from the burden of maintaining her goddess like duties of preservation.

Nŭt, sitting with her bird eyes closed, quietly meditating as she is approached by Helios in his chariot lit ablaze, he calms the fires around his wheels to deliver this covert message. "What is it brother? You know I am very busy pondering the future of this domain?" Nŭt says in a nonchalant manner.

Helios replies with great skepticism and haste. "Look I don't know what you two are playing at but I'm sure if I get caught breaching both sides, I could be sanctioned by the Olympian counsel on my end, and your lot would probably see to it that I'd be resting in your reed fields without a heart or whatever your version of Tartarus is."

"Ok first of all, No. You would be headed to "Duat" if you were of this realm, but the obvious still remains. Second, you're the sun messenger, I hardly believe the olympians want to deliver their own god-like mail." Nŭt replies sharply.

"Oh my days, you have not lived a million millennia until you have seen Zeus try to scribe a return address. You have never experienced such dyslexia." Helios says with a chuckle.

Nŭt spread her wings and lifts from her perch and glides down to a lower level of her abode, signaling Helios to follow after.

They both land gently on the lower platform, Helios climbs from his chariot now appearing as a simple stained wooden contraption and begins to walk alongside Nŭt as they approach a large starry staircase leading upward.

"So what do you see in this guy?" Helios asked

"Clearly you don't see what I see in that man, he's so misunderstood, and the only reason why I have these feelings for him is because of his greedy narcissistic wife." Nŭt replies with a scoff.

" Wait, wait, wait, I thought you had an arrangement with Geb, you know, you being in a relationship with him isn't that still a thing? Helios retorted.

"Uh. Yeah, about that, he and I haven't been on great terms, he hibernates every time we have some "us time", he erupts his volcanoes and then he goes to sleep, no cuddles, no conversations, I just get to watch him sleep." Nŭt says as she ascends up the staircase.

Nŭt changes her appearance from a sliver winged bird into a woman dressed in a dark, sheer, star ladened gown with silvery trim along the borders. She turns around to Helios at the top of the staircase while he approaches his last steps, and she says;

"We made a deal, when he sleeps I roam free. It has been a few decades since that conversation, and I've never taken the chance to give myself the freedom to look for a more present partner, but after the "Goddess ball" I was entranced by his decorousness and how he carried himself, I never thought I would be attracted to such a person, he seems despicable, uncouth, contemptible, but that's what I love about him." she says as they walk into her bedroom chambers.

"So, what are you to say about the narcissistic wife, are you gonna uproot her from the throne or what?" Helios asked snarkily.

"I couldn't care less about that stupid wench, she never treated that man with lick of respect, arranged or not you as a wife should be your husbands moon and stars." Nŭt says raising her fist toward the roof of her chambers.

"Hold on, isn't Konshu, YOUR moon in the stars?" Helios exclaims cleverly.

"Don't get cute with me Helios, I'll have Poseidon douse your ass mid flight, have you looking and feeling like Icarus." Nŭt says as she gestures a falling wing.

"Oh calm down sky mother, I meant no harm by the interjection, here's this." Helios says while handing the scroll to an excited Nŭt pursing her lips with anticipation for what her new admirer has just sent her.

She opens the scrolls with great excitement and begins to read.

The difference in realms causes translation from one language to another to be extremely difficult for non-deities, but for the divinely gifted these words appear as the original Greek text, and slowly converts to Egyptian depictions.

"So what did he say?" asked a half-interested Helios.

"He's saying to meet him at the West bank of the Nile in two days time at dusk." she replies.

"Huh, isn't that weird to you?" Helios inquires.

"Uh, no actually, think about it, as a matter of fact think about it on your way back to Olympia, Ra should be here soon, I'm tired and I'm going to bed, I'll keep you posted on what happens next, keep a weather eye on the horizon, if all goes as planned, I'll have another message for you to deliver."

Helios, confused about their rendezvous location heads out the chamber door, descends the starry staircase and hops on to his chariot that comes to fiery life as soon as he sets foot, he grabs his reigns and lashes the fire that carries him across the fermement, and with lashing sound he takes off into the night sky disappearing into a spot behind a nearby star which is truly a portal of Nŭt's creation that bridges the gap between realms.

Nŭt, in her sultan's bed lays there cuddling the letter sent by him, a seductive smile creeps and stretches across her face as she awaits her time with her admirer.
