Summary

I feel like I am floating upwards like a helium filled balloon, slowly rising up into the air, I look down below and I see nothing but clouds and little breaks in them but I can’t make out the ground. A man sitting in the back of the train next to open seats, littered with clothes and other people belongings, he lights up a cigarette and takes a sip out of his flask, looking out the window as the train continues on down the track. Little does he realize around him, people are screaming and yelling and fight among themselves, unable to realize what has just happened.

Introduction

This story is an imaginary glimpse of the Rapture, also referred to as The Second Coming of Christ. (It comes from the Latin word rapare which means “seize”, “snatch” or “take away.” The term Rapture is used to refer to the faithful believers being taken up to meet Christ in the air as described in this passage written by the apostle Paul.

Jesus, Himself, said, “However, no one knows the day or the hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. (Matthew 24:36)

This is a personal view of how I imagine the Second Coming of Christ to be like. For each person this is different. I hope you enjoy my story.
