Un grupo de jóvenes intrépidos ha sido seleccionado para emprender la mayor de las odiseas: explorar mundos desconocidos más allá de las fronteras humanas. Tras siglos de deriva en la inmensidad del cosmos, la humanidad al fin ha hallado una señal, un indicio remoto... una promesa de vida en otro planeta. Pero el camino hacia ese descubrimiento no será ni fácil ni seguro. Las rutas estelares esconden peligros, y no todos los viajeros regresan ilesos. La sociedad que los observa desde la distancia tampoco es inocente: tras las gélidas paredes de la estación espacial se ocultan secretos, enigmas y verdades que más valdría no desenterrar. Porque quien busca siempre encuentra. Pero ¿a qué costo? En esta historia, los protagonistas se verán arrastrados a los límites de su mente y su humanidad. Sufrirán, se quebrarán, y en la oscuridad del espacio quizá descubran que la verdadera amenaza no viene de fuera... sino de sí mismos.
