"Lark!" I hear behind me I turn to see. rose
"Um... hey rose" she stomped her foot
"Where were you? I've been waiting for you for two hours. she said in a voice that we all know. when thy are moms are pissed that you.
"Will the thing is... that um."
"I'm waiting" she look at me sternly.
"So, I got lost" she looks at me like she knows that I am lying, which I am. "how can you get lost in your own house."
rose continues. "Your parents are waiting for you." she grabbed my wrist and start dragging me to the door.
"Your parents have arranged this for to be able to find you some new clients. So, you're going"
I sigh heavily "Rosie, we both know I hate talking to people." she turned around her hand, still holding my wrist. she looks at me like she has no time for any of this shit
"don't Rosie me"
"Fine, fine"
rose pushes the door of my room open and drags me out. as she marches me to the main area. I get a good look at the paintings in the hallway. The one of my father especially. With his charcoal black hair, forest green eyes just like mine. His demeanor, even in a painting seemed controlling.
rose sigh "The only reason why I'm even here, is because your parents thought that you needed someone to chaperone you."
I scarf "I can take care of myself." she turns around right before opening the door to the main area.
"Maybe you should've told me that before you got yourself kidnapped five times in the last month. because you think that you can take care of yourself.
