A Normal Morning

It was a fine rainy morning. The weather felt calm and pleasant, with greenery lining both sides of the road. Soft sounds filled the air—bees humming, a distant train passing along the nearby railway track, and an occasional cough echoing from a small house nearby.

That house belonged to Ravi and his family.

There were four of them: his father, his mother, Ravi himself, and his younger sister, Anu. Ravi was studying in the 10th class, while Anu was in the 6th. Ravi had been suffering from a high fever for the past two days. His body felt weak, and his coughing refused to stop, so he stayed home from school.

On their way to school, Ravi’s friends stopped by to check on him. Seeing his condition, they felt sorry. One of them handed him a PlayStation game.

“Play this when you feel bored,” his friend said.

After that, they hurried away, already running late.

Inside the house, everyone was busy. Ravi’s mother was getting Anu ready for school, and his father was preparing for work. Once the house grew quiet, Ravi turned on the PlayStation and began playing the game.

He didn’t realize how quickly time passed.
