Summary

This book tells the story of Rebeka, a young woman from Earth, just before hell materialized in the form of an epidemic virus. Intelligent, beautiful, and diligent, the model student hides her suffering, loneliness, and obsession for a young man she relentlessly stalks. Logic and good sense, together with indomitable willpower, have been the pillars that have allowed Rebeka to earn her place in the world and become the respectable young woman that the elders wish her to be. However, everything was about to change as soon as she came of age. In that instant, society would no longer be able to stop her from her stubborn task of cleaning up her family’s name, taking care of her mother, and preventing her house from being taken away from her by any means necessary.

Listen to the cry of silence,

do not think, at the moment

that hell becomes your heaven.

I’ve been thinking that maybe...

our lives won’t go back to what they used to be,

that we might even experience

the boredom of routine one more time.

Maybe it’s selfish of me,

but I really want you to be the one

to come and save me.

So far away, so close.

Be strong, my beloved queen.
