"Although I wouldn’t normally reach for a fantasy or paranormal romance, this story has definitely challenged me to explore more of these genres! I was in a really bad reading slump before this one, and I really enjoy the combination of action in the plot, romantic tension and chemistry between the leads and the wide spectrum of emotions the female character expresses that feel relatable. I’m curious to see if we will receive an origin chapter detailing what the female character was like and her relationships with the male leads before her memory was wiped. Excited to see what comes next for this one!"

"This story has consumed me. Dark romance, two MMC's, kidnapping, non-con, this thing has it all. I had originally thought this was going to be your run-of-the-mill dark romance from Reddit. I was absolutely wrong. The writing is so sophisticated and detailed that it feels like a breath of fresh air, honestly. The author does an amazing job of showing instead of telling the reader, and there is so much raw emotion in it, it's hard to look away. I had chosen the black flag path, with no spoilers, just content warnings, and it is a RIDE. I love these characters so much I've found myself doodling them. I wait at the edge of my seat for each new chapter. "

"I'd taken a break from reading anything online from the writing that left me frustrated and bored far more often than not. Then I found this. I admit that the genre isn't one that's taken my fancy before, but something drew me in. Whether it's the pacing, the characters, or a secret something that hooked me in and kept me leashed to the story, wanting more. Enough that, when the nature of the genre itself nearly making me sending it to DNF territory, just at the right time a morsel of light in the gloom of it kept me in. If I don't end up finishing it then it would be my own too delicate tastes, not the writer or the story."

"The dove is dead, yes, perhaps even festering by this point. Yet still, I feast. Fenrow and Galen are so unfairly yet intriguingly cruel towards our hapless Libby. This FMC is forced to undergo some utterly depraved scenarios (SPOILER: I think the dark gloryhole dungeon was perhaps, imo, the most mentally punishing porn I've ever read. [And this could just be the fact it plays on my fear of the dark] Right before the actual GamesTM begins.) If you are someone who desires smut that is unfair, punishing, and cruel then this is DEFINITELY for you. This is, by all intents and purposes, a TRUE Dark Romance book ; Every chapter is guaranteed to make your legs cross, your loins burn, and ensure you exceed your daily hydration goals. The sweetest sin to read
"The harshest spice is woven with the highest sweet...intoxicating to read and worthwhile. This isn't another lazy example of spice with just enough quick "plot" slotted in to make it readable. This is some good dark fantasy writing. The plot pulls the reader's intrigue and sparks imagination through the chapters just as well as the VERY spicy scenes do. Palescript maintains a fantastic teeter-totter between extremes, with attention to world building and compelling characters. Just as she richly describes that which is difficult to take in, the severe and shocking pain, ugliness, and violence, she just as powerfully and generously rewards the reader with beauty, charm, and softness. The descriptions given to world building are sumptuous, and the characters are fantastic. This is definitely the most delicious unhealthy treat that you will not want to stop consuming. The bonus chapters are worth it!!! Hoping there will be an opportunity to purchase this is print ❤️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Absolutely DEPRAVED, harsh, vivid spice, interwoven with STUNNING detail and intriguing storytelling. "I started reading this because it came up on multiple channels while I was searching for new content with some of the tags I love. I didn't want to read it at first, because it was unfinished and I'm normally too impatient for works in progress. I'm so glad I broke my own made up rule, because this series is everything I wanted and more! Of course, the smut is scorching, but it's more than that. The world building and lore are very interesting to slowly learn more about and I can immerse myself into the world the author built. When I read, I am Libby. For better or worse 😂 At the heart of it for me are the relatable, human emotions laced throughout this fantastical tale. Every MMC makes me feel a different way. Warm and fuzzy feelings, hot and bothered, outright mad or very sad. The thing is that reading this always makes me feel some type of way and that is its strength to me. Not to mention the bonus chapters which turn up the heat even more 🔥 What makes this stand out for me even more, is that in addition to the series itself there is a dedicated Discord server with lots of lovely people which truly feels like a welcoming and safe community to me ❤️ People from all over the world ready to yap, rant, rave and more with each other. Brought together by the medium of degenerate content, that's not something you see every day. In conclusion, give it a try if you like the look of the tags and you'll probably be very glad you did. "The slow build up and rich breadcrumb trail of lore is to die for. However, the element of this story that I love the most is the writing. The descriptions that play on the senses that literally make you FEEL it, not just the words, but how the sentences are structured too are so dang good. I've actually re-read chapters several times because it just simply feels so good to read something so well written that also has the tasteful spicy content I love. For My Ascension has many categories of indulgence to satisfy your palate. I can't recommend this story enough!! It's also really awesome the author/writer Palescript has a Patreon you can subscribe to get early release and bonus chapters. The community is also really awesome, I wasn't expecting to join a Discord server that was born from supporting an amazing book-in-progress. Lots of like-minded and kind creatures there. We're talking wildfires on the equator in the middle of summer hot, and it's every. Single. Spicy. Scene. "But Stephii," I hear you saying, "I love a good romp as much as the next guy, but what about the plot? Porn without plot is fine, but it's so hard to find a compelling one." Buckle in for this one, reader; FMA does BOTH exquisitely. Baked in behind the sizzling sex scenes is a overarching plot that left me flipping pages (er, scrolling?) as fast as I could to get the next juicy lore drop. It's not just narrated at you either! Palescript lovingly weaves pieces of world building, character backstory, and overall plot into everything, from the description of the arena, to the so-realistic-i-can-see-it-in-my-head character and action descriptions, to the dialogue they share. I'm not kidding when I say that it's been such a long, long time since I've read anything - smut or sfw fiction - that has left me as titillated and enthralled as this series. Even more special than the story itself, which is already fantastic, is the gathering of fine people Palescript has established on Discord. Never in my life have I met such kind, real, accepting people ready to step in to lift each other up and support each other as needed. It's not just a fandom gathered around a fic; it's true COMMUNITY. In these dark days especially, that may be the biggest gift Palescript has given us yet."
