Beautiful
"Absolutely beautiful yet heartbreaking at the same time. Although I wasn't born in the 60s I feel like this book gives an accurate depiction of the racism that took place back then. I love the writing style and the plot is very engaging. "

"I like the plot and the progression of Silas and Mae’ relationship. However, I felt Mae was dismissive of the kind teacher who fancied I would have love to see her make an effort with him and stronger reason for the rejection than the shop. "
