Episode 1: Andrew
April 7th, 2027
Parkland City
4 Months Ago(Not In Chronological Order)
Lightning Striker’s lightning turns red, and red lightning crackles in his eyes. He looks at the Kryndorian soldiers, smirks, and speeds in, faster than his normal and God-mode speed combined.
Lightning Striker lightning-punches a Kryndorian soldier, sending a red lightning bolt ripping through his chest, killing him, and then the lightning bolt travels backward and kills 5 others in a straight line. He does this over and over again, killing each Kryndorian soldier instantly. He then speeds in front of The Sentinel.
“Look what you’ve done,” Lightning Striker says, his voice calm, and chilling.
The Blur gets shot with a Red-Navorum bullet, The Prism gets lasered in the eyes by a Kryndorian’s laser-vision, The Nightfall gets impaled to the chest by a spike, and Techno’s neck gets snapped by The Sentinel.
“Your entire planet’s bloodline… just gone. Just like that. Now you will serve me. Or I’ll kill you too. Now kneel, before your God.”
Out of fear, The Sentinel obeys. “Yes, sir.”
“I am The Lightning God. And you will serve me until the day you die. Do you understand me?” The Lightning God laughs menacingly.
Parkland City
Today
The city is corrupt. There’s a lightning-barrier surrounding the city, making it impossible for anyone to get in or out. In the center of the city, where Central Park was, there’s now a red platform, and The Lightning God is standing on it.
He doesn’t even have a suit anymore, just a red tuxedo with a black tie. And next to him, is The Sentinel, on one knee, now a servant. Everyone in the city follows by The Lightning God’s orders, or they die, slowly and painfully.
It’s not even called Parkland City anymore… It’s called Lightning Death City now. That’s at least what the civilians outside the city are calling it. They can see through the lightning. They see the torture, the death… It’s hell on Earth, but only in a city.
If anyone tries to plead or tries to encourage The Lightning God… They get killed. Anyone tries to fight The Lightning God? Yeah, you could guess what would happen next… They get killed. Civilians of Parkland City aren’t even scared anymore, they’re so used to the city being like this. The only difference in the city is laws, politics, and, uh… morals.
“Lightning God,” A civilian says, kneeling in front of The Lightning God. “I have a request.”
“What is it?” The Lightning God asks, his voice calm, cold, and chilling.
“May I please leave the city for a couple of days? My family is far away, and I want to go see them.”
“Depends. How much money have you made so far this week?”
“1400 dollars, sir.”
“Why do you feel the need to see your family?”
“Uh… B-because I… Because I miss them.”
“Homesick, perhaps?”
“Yes, exactly!”
“No.”
“What?”
“No. You need to grow up. You miss your family? You’re homesick? Well suck it up! Go back to your house.”
“Yes sir.”
That’s only a fraction of how The Lightning God acts. He is way more cruel and ruthless - and that’s on his good days.
Lightning Striker’s Head
Inside Lightning Striker’s head is a good side, James in a blue tuxedo with a white tie, and a bad side, James in a red tuxedo with a black tie. His bad side is knocked out, almost dead, trapped in a cage in the corner. The good side is watching James’ vision
He sees The Prism get killed, and the bad side of James twitches, almost awake. Then, The Blur gets killed, and the bad side slowly opens his eyes. Then, Techno’s corpse drops. James’ bad side stands up. Nightfall? Dead. James’ bad side? Rips through the cell, and knocks out James’ good side. Then, James’ lightning turns red, becoming…
Today
The Lightning God. Nobody looks up to him, nobody wants to be him. But they have to follow him anyway, or else they get severely punished.
Inside James’ Head
The good side of James starts to wake up, his eyes flickering open and shut.
“No…” The bad side says. “No! You must be asleep! That’s the only way I can conquer Earth, you son of a bitch!”
“Well that’s too damn bad,” the good side says, standing up.
Parkland City
The Platform
The Lightning God suddenly falls to his knees, holding his head. His eyes glow red, and then glitch between red and blue, as the lightning crackling on him is also glitching between red and blue.
“Ah!” The Lightning God yells, in pain, his voice echoing throughout the entire city. The lightning wall around the city is also glitching between red and blue.
“Oh my God,” The Sentinel says. “Lightning Striker is coming back.” He speeds away.
Inside James’ Head
The good side walks towards the bad side. The bad side throws a punch at the good side, but the good side dodges, and punches the good side in the stomach and knees him in the face.
“You’re done,” the good side says. “You’re done corrupting.”
“No,” the bad side says. “I will never stop! I am a God! The Lightning God!”
“And I’m Lightning Striker.”
Lightning Striker and The Lightning God start fighting. Lightning Striker lightning-punches The Lightning God across the face, and lightning-kicks him in the gut.
“I will kill you!” The Lightning God yells.
“Not if I kill you first,” Lightning Striker says.
“You kill me, you become me.”
“I’ll never be like you.”
Lightning Striker picks up The Lightning God by the throat, and shoots lightning-lasers into his eyes, killing him.
Parkland City
The Platform
The Lightning God collapses. Then, James wakes up, a new man. The lightning wall disappears from around the city. James stands up, and looks around in confusion.
“What the hell happened?” James asks himself. A newspaper flies into his face from the wind. He catches it, and reads the date. “‘Wednesday, April 7th, 2027’? Oh, God, what did I do?”
The Cemetery
James speeds to the cemetery, in a normal black and white tuxedo. He digs up Frank’s grave, Emma’s grave, Jonathan’s grave, and Andrew’s grave. He shoots each corpse with a healing lightning-blast. They all wake up, except for Andrew… Andrew’s corpse doesn’t wake up.
“Andrew?” James asks, his voice shaking with worry. He kneels down, and grabs Andrew’s dead arm. He tries to heal him that way, but it doesn’t work. “Why isn’t it working? Andrew! Andrew, wake up! Come back!”
“He won’t come back?” Frank asks, walking over.
“No,” James says. “But he has to!”
“What if the reason he’s not coming back, James,” Jonathan says, walking over with Emma.
“Is because he can’t?” Emma asks, finishing Jon’s sentence.
“No, it’s impossible,” James says.
“Nothing’s impossible,” Frank says.
“So it should be possible for Andrew to come back!” James yells, standing up and turning to Frank. “If nothing is impossible, then why is it impossible for Andrew to come back?! Huh?”
“I get it,” Frank says. “You lost an acquaintance- a friend, at that.”
“He wasn’t just a friend!” James yells. “He was my best friend.”
“I did some research a few months ago,” Jonathan says. “On the Lighting-Force. If you sit down with your legs crossed in front of Andrew’s dead body, you’ll be sent into the afterlife with him. You can come back whenever you want. But you can’t bring him back through with you.”
“I’ll do it,” James says. “Back up.”
James sits down, his legs crossed. The team backs up as James closes his eyes and concentrates. Suddenly, blue lightning crackles around James, and what looks like his soul, literally leaves his body and flies up.
“Well, I think he did it,” Frank says.
“Should we wait here, or..?” Emma asks.
“Yeah,” Jonathan says. “He could be there for as long as he wants, but he could also come back the second he left.”
The Afterlife
James appears in front of Andrew, standing.
“Andrew,” James says, wrapping his arms around him.
“James?” Andrew asks. “Are you dead, too?”
“Not really. I brought the others back. But I can’t bring you back. It’s not working.”
“I know why.”
“You do?”
“It’s because of my will power. Or lack there of.”
“Will power of what?”
“Killing.”
“Elaborate on that?”
“Frank, Emma, even Jonathan have the will power to kill a person. They’re capable of murder. I’m not. I don’t have the will power to kill someone. I just… can’t. I can try. But in the end, I will never kill a soul. Without having the will power to kill…”
“You don’t have the will power to live.”
“Exactly.”
“So… you can’t come back?”
“No, I can’t.”
“How am I supposed to do this without you? You’ve been with me since the beginning. You’re the one who keeps me in check, Andrew.”
“Now someone else is gonna have to do that.”
“I should’ve protected you.”
“It’s not your fault. It’s mine. You told me and Emma to stay back, and not fight. You told us to stay away. We didn’t listen. I didn’t listen. I got Emma and myself killed. You were right to push us away, I see that now.”
“I’m sorry, Andrew.”
“It’s not your fault, James. Go back home.”
“No, I need to stay with you.”
“You can’t. The longer you’re here, the more you won’t be able to go back.”
“Okay. Goodbye… Techno.”
“So long... Lightning Striker.”
