Chapter 1
Sashay
Bzzzz....bzzzzz...bzzzzz Sashay’s phone rang at 3am. She sucked her teeth as she rolled over to grab the phone off the night stand. She didn’t know who could be calling her this late. But she only had one person in mind eyes still closed she reached over and answered “Hello” she answered in a groggy voice....”baby girl it’s me!” The voice on the other end spoke. “DADDY!? WHATS GOING ON?” She screamed. “Calm down, listen and get yo shit tight!” Sashay’s Father spoke firmly. “They hit the house but can’t hold me so I need you to get all the info and be on your way!” “Sashay?” he called with no answer because she was already dressed and running down the stairs until she realized Remy was still there knocked out cold. She tapped at him as she yelled “Remy, Wake up we gotta bust this move”.
Sashay was your typical everyday girl or so that’s what many thought she was 5’5 medium build caramel complexion long hair that flowed down her back, black and Italian she made sure she stayed on point so that she didn’t have to ask a soul for anything, but really she was a spoiled daddy’s girl She went to school part time and worked 3 days out the week but nothing about sashay was an “everyday” girl she played her position in everybody’s life and most of all she held her father down. Sashay made it known to any nigga pursuing her out the gate he was top priority. She played the game for what it was and made niggas think the least while all along knowing what the game came with. She didn’t take shit off nobody and would kick you to the curve if she had to question you twice. So she made sure she was careful with the niggas she chose or even entertained. She was a true definition of a lady and would never settle for less than what she knew she was worth. She had her shit in line so nobody could ever speak ill on her name or bring up any favors because she’d seen that tear her family apart for years.
Sashay!” Remy yelled out as they hit every corner. “What!?” You never said where we were going man got me up out my sleep and shit like a nigga ain’t just get in. she sighed, it’s my pops man. He nodded and they continued the ride.
Sahshay’s father Mazzy was nowhere close to a 9-5 worker he was an all around the clock street nigga real thrul bread ran the streets of St.louis but was born and raised straight from the south Louisiana to be exact anything you needed he could get his hands on, its been that way even before his kids. Although Sashay was not the oldest or only child she took to her dad like glue, and although she never knew the business or the niggas her dad ran with when it came to getting him out of jams he knew his baby girl was reliable and down to ride. Sashay pulled up to the metropolitan correctional holding center and told Remy “drop me off but listen for me to call no telling how long these muhfukkas gonna give me the run around” they kissed and she hopped out.
