Sharaiyia

She growled as she watched the beastwalkers in her woods. It had been years since she had contact with anyone. Sharaiyia stayed in the trees and wondered why they were here.

Their leader was gigantic with dark hair in multiple braids down his back, dark chocolate skin, dark brown eyes and wearing furs , and bones as jewelry.

He raised his head and sniffed the air then turned and looked into her emerald green eyes.

Her hair was long and dark brown , pale skin, wearing furs, her emerald green eyes held deep pain and hatred and disgust but also sorrow and betrayal.

They stared at each other and were lost in each others eyes.His beast growled Mine and he knew she was his Mate and Queen.

Sharaiyia heard them talking and watched as he moved towards her.

"Dont fear me Mate, I am Nocturne .""

Her heart beat rapidly as he moved closer and her body heat up like flames surrounding her.

When he reached up to her she flinched back and hissed at him.Fury filled his now gold eyes but also pure hunger. Sharaiyia hissed and moved further into the trees.

Nocturne climbed up after her and the chase was on.

The warriors set up camp and waited for their Kings return.

Sharaiyia stayed in the trees and the shadows but her Mate wasnt far behind. He tried to reason with her and begged to know why she ran .

Nocturne purred in an attempt to calm his mate.She trembled at his nearness. She wasnt an Omega or a Beta but an Alpha Female.

It made everything much harder. However he wasnt going to give up on her.

Hours passed and both were exhausted . Nocturne pleaded with her to join as he made camp and built a fire. He pulled out some food and blankets and saw longing in her eyes.

However her fear was like chains on her. She wanted to trust him but somthing was holding her back. She had been hurt so deeply that hed have to earn her trust.

He walked to the edge of camp and set some food on a plate on a log for her, then he backed up.

Nocturne sat by the fire and watched her slowly leave the trees. The food was a perfect way to coax her down. She was feral but her humanity was still there.

Sharayia moved torwards the food at a slow pace and watched the male too. She felt safe around him and wondered why. After a few more steps she curiously reached out for the food. She hissed because it was hot and she pulled away.

As she did she realized Nocturne had stayed where he was. He saw her reaction and watched her sadly and with longing. She felt a bond that didnt make sense until she moved cautiously closer .

She jumped at the sparks of the matebond and tried to escape to the trees however warriors surrounded her. She growled at Nocturne thinking hed betrayed her.

Nocturne told his warriors to back up and make camp in front of the trees. Sharaiyia tried to find a break in the warriors but found no escape. She had no choice but to stay close to her mate.

Everyone watched her until Nocturne growled and warned them to look away. Sharaiyia jumped in fear and snarled at her Mate.

Nocturne held up his hands and herded her towards the campfire where he was sitting. However she screamed when she saw the flames and tried to escape again. Nocturne caught her in his arms and held her close as she thrashed wildly .

She tried to claw and bite him but he bent down and nuzzled the nape of her neck and held her hands. Tears fell from her eyes as she began to weaken . Nocturne purred trying to calm her down. After awhile as he held her on his lap he watched as she fell asleep.

His General approached quietly and sat down close by but not too close. He and Nocturne spoke quietly as Sharaiyia slept peacefully for the first time in years.

However while she slept old memories came at her like shadows trying to drown her. She started to struggle and Nocturne woke up angry and worried.

She screamed out and the warriors jumped up growling. Their Queen was in distress and nothing the King did seem to calm her.She thrashed wildly and cried begging " Please dont rape me again , Just kill me !"

Nocturne was furious and heartbroken at her words . The harm hed imagined hadnt come close to what shed endured.

When the morning finally came she was still asleep in his arms. He moved carefully so as not to wake her. As he shifted into his beast the General placed her in a litter covered in water proof skins and had soft furs as a bed.

Nocturne dragged it behind him and the warriors kept a close watch. After almost a month they reached the village of Beastwalkers high in the mountains.

Everyone was shocked but happy as their King arrived with His Mate.

Nocturne shifted back and dressed and gently picked his mate up in his arms and held her close to his chest. He carried her up the stairs and to his cave and laid her on his furs.

Food and drinks were brought in as well as a change of clothes and towels and bathing things. He picked her up and carried her to a hotsprings and gently placed her on his lap once he climbed in.

When she woke up she discovered she was in the mountains and someone had bathed her and washed her hair and dressed her too.

She looked around and found herself in a gigantic cave . She looked torwards the entrance and saw her Mate watching her . She slowly sat up and saw him watching her every move.

Nocturne moved torwards her cautiously and watched as she kept backing up.

Sharaiyia felt the wall behind her and tried to move away but Nocturne pulled her into his arms and carried her to the table where the food was.

Placing her on his lap he grabbed some meat and tried to feed her but she turned away from him. He wasnt pleased and tried again but no change.

He ate some food and waited for her to respond but she stayed motionless. Nocturne asked the healer to come check on her and Sharaiyia panicked.

Sharaiyia tried to flee but Nocturne held her close as simple tests were done.

He hated seeing her fear and hoped she would come to trust him and not just because of the Mate Bond or him being Alpha King. He hoped for a deeper connection.

It would take a long time for her to heal and longer for her to trust. He hoped that it wouldnt take to long. He longed to mark and mate her and have a family together.

Sharaiyia watched from the cave and wondered about her strange feelings. No one had thought about her in a long time and she wondered why they did.

One afternoon while she was sleeping she heard a commotion and woke up to a small pup run into the cave. She saw some older pups at the entrance but they hesitated . She growled at them and they ran away yelping.

The other pup waited for a few moments and slowly peeked out from underneath the furs. Sharaiyia smiled at the pup and sat up on the bed.

The pup moved closer and got on the bed and sat on her lap. She wrapped her arms around the pup and held her close to her chest. She whimpered when the cave was overshadowed.

Sharaiyia saw the Alpha King standing there watching with curiousity at the intruder in his cave. He moved torwards them and bent down to a crouch on the cave floor.

Nocturne realized the pup was an orphan by her scent and it calmed him down. Seeing his Mate holding the pup made him purr.

He paused and saw his mate watching him wondering what she was thinking. He hoped that he hadnt overstepped his boundaries.

She slowly reached out torwards him and cupped his face in her small hands. The pup whimpered and both looked down smiling.
