Chapter 1
" I don't know, where to start but here it goes. I am new to this stuff as I don't like to write or read. Which you could tell by my style of writing. Anyways as I got all of that out of the system, back to the story so I am Journaling this down for my memory and my future grand children if they find it and they could learn from this horrific event which happened to me when I was in my teens.
I was a freshman of a college not so popular college but it was good for my kind of students(average). I had never dreamed of an ivy league college because I was not so good at my studies( which everyone should be in this day and age). I had a boyfriend his name was Kyle. He was my boyfriend for past 2 years , honestly the most sweet and nicest on the face of God's green earth. He was totally a green flag. At that time there was a news circulating that there is a psychotic man, who would randomly kill strangers for no particular reason and would chop the index finger as a trophy of the victim. His name was not clear but as per the reports he carried a lethal weapon with him like a knife.
So people in my neighborhood would shut their blinds and doors after 8 pm as his activities were very prevalent during that time period. It was more like a curfew and after couple of weeks everything was going normal but than something happened which gave me a scar which is still engraved in my soul. So I had gone through a breakup with Kyle during that week and this happened on 19th December 1989. I was in my depressive phase so I did not go to college around that time. Didn't get out of bed as this was my first relationship which had broken.
He texted me a lot that day trying to reach me. But I didn’t read his messages that day, he even tried to call me but I ignored as it was really ugly breakup based on a trivial matter. Which left me amazed as how people could change. "

Hi there!
I just started your story Do I Have Your Attention Now? and I’m already hooked! I was immediately drawn into Amy’s world the way you begin with her honestly journaling about how her life turned upside down pulled me in emotionally right away, and I really wanted to keep reading to find out what happens next. I especially loved how you make her reactions and thoughts feel so real and personal, like I was right there with her through every twist and uncertainty. Your writing kept me curious and engaged from the start. I’d love to share it with a few friends who’d enjoy it too. Can’t wait to read more of your work!
By the way, I’m on Instagram: @lizziedoesitall.
