Chapter 1
I am me.
A girl.
A normal one, at that.
But that question…
It pierced my heart.
Who am I?
I asked the pastor.
He said,
“Not your body. Not your name.
Spiritually. Godfully—who are you?”
Words froze.
I left.
My mother asked too.
I laughed.
I left again.
Weeks later, a dream:
Alone, yet not alone.
A strong force spoke.
I cried for the first time.
Morning came.
Tears soaked my eyes.
Shock. Wonder.
I went to the mountains.
A verse I knew as a child whispered:
“My help comes from the Lord,
the Creator of heaven and Earth.”
I smiled.
I prayed:
“Father, show me you are real.”
Then rain.
I laughed.
I understood.
A voice said:
“Follow your heart, and you shall be great.”
Hours of silence.
Walking home, another whisper:
“I am your God. Trust me. I am with you.”
I rejoiced.
Faith—quiet, steady, alive.
If I could dine with You, Father,
I would ask:
Am I loving the life You want for me?
