Summary

The Queen Mother of Darkness has awakened. Or so the world believes. When her long silence fractures into a broken pulse, her immortal children rejoice—unaware that what returned is no longer the mother who ruled them. Something ancient has taken her throne, wearing her face while her will is gone. Kalor, a young ruler bound by blood and duty, feels the fracture before he understands it. As fear spreads through divine courts and rival powers gather under the guise of faith, he's forced into a role he never sought—one shaped not by ambition, but by inheritance and survival. When Time itself descends—polite, curious, and utterly unconcerned with the laws binding creation—the truth becomes undeniable: divinity is no longer stable, and succession may cost everything. This is not a tale of rebellion or conquest. It is the story of what remains when a god is taken—and the burden passed to those left standing. New writer, would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

PROLOGUE

This is a world ruled by three Queen Mothers, each created by one of the Gods who made and rule this universe. Each Queen gave rise to children who shaped the world in her image.

The Queen of Light—daughter of the God of Life—embodies the sun’s brilliance, the warmth of summer, and the promise of dawn.

The Queen of Darkness—daughter of the God of Death—is not evil, but final and absolute. She is the moon to her sister’s sun, the veil that conceals and the guide within shadows.

The Veiled Queen—daughter of the God of Time—is rarely seen, nearly forgotten. She is the silent mother of mortals: Men, Dwarves, Gnomes, and the beasts that walk between.
