Chapter 1
To be honest, anxiety and depression are worldwide struggles today.
Here in America—and across the world—many people face them daily.
This is not how life was meant to be.
As Christians and as leaders, we are called to stand up, to care, and to pray—not only for ourselves, but for our nations, our countries, the people, the orphans, the needy, the lost, and the abandoned.
I will openly say this: I do not know everything about anxiety and depression.
But I do know this—millions of people are going through it. And I want to stand in the gap, believing God can heal, restore, and bring hope.
Anxiety is real.
Depression is real.
They affect the mind, the body, and the spirit.
When we talk about anxiety, we talk about fear, wounds, and empty places in life.
But we also have a Savior—Jesus Christ—who loves us deeply.
There is power in admitting to Him that we are broken and that we need Him.
Anxiety and depression can slowly destroy a person if left untreated, and in this generation, even very young people are experiencing it. That reality hurts—
It hurts families.
It hurts mothers.
And it grieves God’s heart.
Many people turn to therapy and medication, especially at a young age—and while these can help, we must also remember that true peace comes from God.
If this is you, I have a message for you.
Philippians 4:6–7 reminds us to pray instead of worry, and 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us.
Jesus is enough.
I have personally watched testimonies of people battling deep anxiety and depression who found healing and peace through faith in Jesus Christ.
When people hear Christians speak the name of Jesus, they may think it is just a trend or a word—but that name carries power.
At the name of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord.
Jesus does not belong to one group of people.
No one owns Him.
He is for everyone.
Let us not waste our time chasing the things of this world.
Let us focus on our Messiah and choose to be part of the healing this world needs.
Doctors can treat symptoms, but Jesus heals completely—physically, mentally, and spiritually. He restores what is broken and fills every empty place.
Know Jesus.
Trust Him.
And experience the peace, hope, and transformation He can bring into your life and the lives of those you love.
