Perfect Family
We were all born into the spotlight. In a way. We were rarely trussed into events or the camera. In that way, I was glad about all of that.
But the spotlight never seems to leave us. No matter how much I try.
I am writing this because it is something that I feel that I must to. To try and honour my family but tell the truth. I always wanted to write something in my lifetime but I never quiet could get the words correct.
I want to be trueful. Even if the truth is painful, hard and so fucking messy.
This is my story. And my siblings.
Even if they rather I not tell it at all.
My name is Xena Polbrain. Eldest daughter of Damien and Tiana Polbrian. I was born in the 16th April 1989. My father was an actor, a businessman. My mother was an actress just like my father but she also did some of the most amazing artwork that you've ever seen.
Sometimes, I was taken into a care of a nanny if my parents were busy. I didn't mind my nanny, her name was Francine and she was French. She spoke in an accent that was a little funny. She never quite spoke English fully, she loved to sneak in a few French words in.
I could vaguely translate her by the time I was two. That was when Francine didn't look after me as much anymore as Mom and Dad didn't do much acting. Dad still had his business but he tried his best not to travel unless it was with his family.
My sister Rosa was born on 2nd March 1993. I was so excited when I was told that I was going to have a little sibling. I do believed that they wanted a boy after me but when Rosa was born, all eyes lit up, she was such a pretty baby.
Mom allowed me to hold her as long as I was careful when I first met Rosa. I think she did most of the holding while I felt like a very responsible older sister.
I wasn't left out. Though I did not get as much attention as I did when they were home when I was an only child, I always made sure that Rosa was happy.
I remembered when she gave her first smile to me. I felt my little heart flutter. She was so cute. She had curls and everything. Yet hers was always wild, mine was slightly more controlled.
It was a perfect family. I didn't even see what was going on. I didn't see what happened next. Maybe I should have, maybe I was just too young to understand at the time.
