Chapter 1
Bella's POV
/Flashback/
He looked at me in the eye, I could feel the hostility piercing my skin through his harsh gaze. I felt myself shiver involuntarily and the next thing I knew was that the rouge that was once here standing feet away from me, was now gone. I scrambled over the bloody grass which was consequential to the struggle that had just taken place to my mommy. Was she dead? Blood was everywhere- on my mom, me and on the floor. I could smell it, the blood stench filled my nostrils and made me sick to my stomach. I saw the light go out of her eyes as I watched her, standing right next to her, helpless, almost certain of what was going to happen next.
My heart shattered into a million pieces, a strong probability that it would never be whole again hung thick in the air.
"I.. l-love.."
The last breath was taken away from her sweet mouth as the lifeline of my mom was cut. She never got the chance to utter the last word.
"Mom, no!" I screamed. "Help! We need help! Someone!"
I shouted into the woods surrounding us, looking around in hope which was soon to be crushed. No one. But I knew my daddy and brother were nearby, I could sense it. I got up, leaving my mother's body briefly, and stood up and cupped a hand around my mouth, frantically shouting the same thing over and over again in hopes that someone would hear me.
"Help!"
Eventually, my brother finally heard me and came running towards me with dad following quickly behind him.
"What happened?" My daddy said desperately, wanting to know what had happened to his dearest wife. My brother was looking at the dead body of my mommy in complete sadness and horror.
"It was a-a rouge.. h-he k-killed..her," I said, bursting into tears.
"This is all your fault Bella! You couldn't have protected your mother and done something right for once!" daddy yells at me, his eyes full of sadness and anger. "You are not my daughter, my daughter would have protected her mother with all that she could have!".
"B-bu-but" I shudder at him.
"No, you are no beta's daughter, you are an omega and disappointment to our family!" My dad yells at me with a voice filled with hate and storms off to the pack house leaving me outside with my brother and mother's body.
"Ho-How could you Bella?! I thou- oh never mind you are no sister of mine!"My brother yells at me, tears rimming in his eyes, running away with my father..
"Well, there was nothing I could do! The rouge would kill us both if he had to!"
The words that my brother and daddy said went through my mind, stuck on repeat like a broken record. I couldn't help it, it wasn't my fault that she sacrificed herself for me. My body broke down onto the ground, next to my now dead mommy and I whispered:
"I'm so so sorry mommy, I should have protected you with all I had."
