INTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD]
WELCOME TO THE RESONANCE. Five centuries ago, the earth was a symphony. To keep the world in balance, nature created two instruments: Singers, people who channeled the energy known as the Echo into creation, and Anchors, whose spirits kept the Singers from being consumed by this force.
Then came the Aetherial Kings. They drained the world’s heart. That created The Silt—a toxic ground sludge formed from decaying magic. They also created The Spires, floating glass cities. Now, height is power. The Aetherials stand at 6′6" in the clouds. The Silt-born, who live in the mud below, survive at 5′6".
The silence is about to end.
