Chapter 1 Yellow Flowers After the Storm 🌻🍦

The house that once echoed with her talks, laughter, and giggles suddenly felt too quiet.

Ashnoor Kaur sat by the window of her room, curtains half-drawn, phone face down on the bed. The eviction announcement from Bigg Boss still rang in her ears.

"Ashnoor, it’s time to leave the house."

She had smiled then… graceful, composed, strong.

But now?

Now the smile had faded.

The world outside continued as usual, but inside her chest, emotions sat heavy—disappointment, exhaustion, unanswered what-ifs. She hugged her knees, resting her chin on them, staring at nothing.

A soft knock broke the silence.

"Palak?" her mother’s voice called gently.

"Someone’s here for you."

She frowned slightly. "For me?"

Before she could even get up, the door opened.

And there he was.

Abhishek Bajaj.

Yes Abhishek Bajaj—the man she had met a few months back inside the Bigg Boss house…was not just a friend. He had become her family. Her comfort place in that crazy house, where people never missed a single chance to target her. He was the man who always supported her, always protected her. And she knew—she knew too well—how his exit from the BB house had shattered her. This man is now Standing at the doorstep, slightly breathless, holding a bright yellow flower bouquet in one hand and a paper bag in the other. His eyes found hers instantly, relief washing over his face the moment he saw her.

For a second, neither of them spoke.

Then Abhishek smiled, the kind of smile that always made things feel lighter.

"Hi," he said softly. "Missed me already?"

Ashnoor let out a small laugh, shaky but real. "You’re not supposed to joke right now."

"I know," he replied, stepping inside. "That’s exactly why I am."

He held out the bouquet. "For you. Yellow—because you forgot how bright you are."

Her eyes softened. "They’re beautiful."

"Just like you," he said simply, no drama, no filters.

She looked away, blinking rapidly. "It hurts, Goku. I thought I was strong enough… but getting evicted like that"

He didn’t let her finish. Instead, he placed the bouquet on the table, and pulled her into a hug.

It wasn’t sudden or forceful…just warm, grounding, safe. Ashnoor froze for a second, then melted into him, fingers clutching the back of his jacket as if holding on to the only steady thing she had.

Abhishek rested his chin lightly on her head, one hand gently rubbing her back.

"It’s okay," he murmured. "You don’t have to be strong right now."

That was all it took.

The wall she had built since eviction time finally cracked.

Ashnoor’s shoulders trembled as silent tears soaked into his shirt. She shook her head against his chest, words tangled with sobs. "I tried so hard, …I didn’t fake anything. I didn’t play games. I just wanted to be myself."

Abhishek tightened his arms around her instantly, as if afraid the world might pull her away. "And that’s exactly why you won," he said firmly. "Maybe not a trophy—but something bigger. Respect. Love."

Her sobs grew louder now, raw and unfiltered. "It hurts," she whispered. "Seeing everyone still inside… wondering what I did wrong."

He leaned down, his forehead resting against her hair. "You didn’t do anything wrong. Sometimes the strongest people are sent out early because they don’t belong in cages."

She clutched him harder, crying freely, no cameras, no judgment…just him. And Abhishek stayed still, steady, letting her fall apart in his arms.

"Cry it out," he said softly. "I’m right here."

"I’m not going anywhere."

The night kept slipping away, and neither of them realized how long she had been wrapped in his arms.

After all this they sat quietly for a moment, sharing the ice cream he had brought for her, the sweetness easing the heaviness between them the silence comfortable.

Then Abhishek spoke again, softer now.

"You know what I saw out there? Not eviction. I saw courage. I saw honesty. I saw a girl who stayed real even when it was hard." He turned to her. "That matters more than any trophy."

Ashnoor’s eyes welled up.

"You really believe that?"

"I don’t believe it," he said firmly. "I know it. And the world will see it too…soon."

She leaned her head against his shoulder, carefully, as if asking permission.

He didn’t move.

Instead, he rested his head lightly against hers.

"BB house tried to break you," he whispered. "But you came out stronger. And you don’t have to deal with this alone."

A tear slipped down her cheek, but this time, it wasn’t heavy.

"Thank you for coming," she murmured.

"Always," he replied.

"Reunions like these? Worth every storm."

Outside, the sun dipped lower, painting the sky golden—almost the same shade as the flowers on the table.

And for the first time since eviction,

Ashnoor smiled.

A real one.

Because sometimes, healing doesn’t come with applause.

Sometimes…

It comes with yellow flowers, ice-cream, and someone who knows exactly when to show up. đź’›
