Masks. That’s all Susan saw around. Masks. Nancy had told her this would fun. That this was just a little excursion to get their groove back, but as Susan went further and further into the labyrinth of people, she felt everything, except excited.

Strangers, she thought coldly. These are all strangers.

Susan had started to hate strangers. Her therapist told her that these thoughts were just a side effect of the trauma, but they weren’t. Susan never liked new people, and now with everyone wearing masks, she liked them even less.

Just as she decided to grab a key and lock herself in one of the rooms for the night, she felt something. A light touch just behind her. It was barely a feather, running down her hair.

Susan whipped around to see who it was, but no one was there. Her heart started beating rapidly as Susan eyes darted out into the mesh of charadeing assholes. Throngs of people were melding into one another, some laughing, some moaning. And some were already beginning to lead each other upstairs. Stupid smiles plastered on their stupid fucking faces.

Susan’s nose wrinkled in disgust.

Nancy, why did you bring us here?

Then Susan felt it again. A shadowy presence lingering just behind her, but before she could turn around this time, a hand came up and encircled her waist, pulling her closely in. The man behind her felt solid against her body as the heat radiating off of his hand began to spread across her belly.

Susan heard a low rumble as the man brushed her hair away from her neck. He took in a sharp inhale before traveling her fingers down her bareback. Susan shivered.

She suddenly felt too exposed among the reverie.

I shouldn’t have worn this. Why the hell did I let Heather talk me into this?!

Susan’s breath caught as his lips fanned across her ear.

“I missed you,” a gravelly voice wheezed out.

Susan’s eyes widened as she felt something sharp poking into her back.

“Move slowly,” the Goblin whispered.

“I don’t want to hurt you.”

Oh fuck.
