Gunshot in Istanbul

"I really enjoyed this book. The plot was consistent. The characters realistic. It had great ending. I'll admit I like happy endings and this ending was not a disappointment. "

Suspenseful detective story about a corrupt cop

"This was a great crime story! It was a little too short for a novel, however, I'm a fan of conciseness and the narrative didn't lose any of its important details and suspense! I liked the characters, Mereyem, her husband Arda, and their treacherous 'friend' Altan - the corrupt cop. Mereyem also had her two side kicks - young police officer Cevdet and her literary agent Deniz. Despite everything being quite obvious, the reader was left with a gnawing doubt, that maybe Altan was just trying to protect Mereyem and that maybe Cevdet was somehow 'the bad guy'. The story was gripping, I just kept reading one chapter after another. The plot is as old as the world - corruption in the police world - nevertheless, the storyline never ceases to lose it's thrill and audience's interest. The style is good, easy and pleasant to read. No spelling or grammar mistakes. AL"
