More Than a War Story
"I’m not usually drawn to war stories, but this one is very well written. That said, what truly captured me as I moved through the chapters wasn’t the war itself, but the development of the relationship between the two main characters. The alliance between machine and human also raises fascinating questions. I don’t yet know how it will end, though I do know what I would personally hope for. Still, I’d rather not make any guesses. It’s a great piece of writing — I’m looking forward to what comes next. ----- A quick addition after finishing the story. There was a moment when I literally held my head because I didn’t figure something out — something I probably could have. But I won’t reveal it here; everyone should discover it on their own (or not). In the final chapters, I felt the tension building more and more — it was all very well constructed. After getting completely caught up in the suspense, there was a point where I frowned and even felt a bit discouraged. But by the end... how should I put it... You gave us a truly beautiful story, dear @saherj. Congratulations."

A Compelling Story That Pulls You In From The Start
"Though only seven chapters in, The Last Human does an excellent job of creating suspense. The story moves at a slow pace, but each chapter ends on a note to keep you thinking what will happen next. Quite a few characters get introduced early on, but it's so in a way that has you curious to learn more about them. Noel is a main point of mystery. Matters of how she ended up spared yet captive on the robots side, and would a certain choice she made cause trouble for her when deciding to switch sides? These questions make an intriguing plot for someone not even heavy into the sci-fi genre. All the more impressive for the author's first sci-fi story! The grammar is good with a great use of vocabulary and visuals. Not too much to over explain, but still enough to create a vivid picture. For those into a story of mystery possible romance and future action battles, this is one worth looking into♥️"
