Gori Sharma

Gori Sharma

Gori Sharma a twenty-one-year-oldgirl with a heart full of sunshine. She was always the kind of girl who found joy in little things the sound of rain, the smell of fresh flowers, or just sitting with her family after a long day. Her bright brown eyes sparkled like stars, and her medium tone skin glowed softly, as if kissed by the sun itself. Her smile had a magic it could light up the whole house. For her family, her laughter was pure happiness.

She was beautiful breathtakingly beautiful. But sometimes, being beautiful felt like a curse. People never looked at her with simple admiration. Their eyes carried something else desire, greed, judgment. It made her uncomfortable, but she never let it steal her joy. She loved her life, her family, and especially her father Ravi Sharma, a humble man working in a small cloth shop.

Her mother, Asha Sharma, was kind and protective. Gori was their only child for many years, until one day, after endless prayers, they were blessed with a son Garvit. Gori was twelve when her little brother was born, and from that day, she treated him like her whole world.

But life doesn’t always stay kind.

When Gori turned eighteen, everything changed. Her father’s elder brother a cruel police officer began to control their lives. He looked down on Gori’s family, insulted them, and used his power to dominate them. One day, he made a terrible decision he fixed Gori’s marriage with a man named Sandeep, a forty-year-old widower, almost twice her age.

Her father begged and cried, refusing to marry his young daughter to that man. But her uncle’s threats grew darker. He warned them that if they didn’t agree, he would harm Garvit, who was only seven at that time.

For Gori, her brother was everything. She couldn’t let anything happen to him. So, with tears in her eyes and fear in her heart, she agreed to the marriage. Her parents tried everything to stop it, but nothing worked.

That night, Gori’s dreams shattered.

Sandeep was not just old he was cruel. He drank every night, shouted, and treated her like an object. His children, almost her age, never respected her. Every day was filled with pain, every night with tears and unimaginable pain. Three long months passed in torture until one day, Sandeep died of a heart attack.

But even then, Gori didn’t find peace. His family especially his mother and children blamed her for his death. They called her cursed, beat her, and one night, threw her out of the house like she was nothing.

She returned to her parents, broken and bruised. Her uncle was furious that she came back. He hit her father brutally, and in trying to save her,Ravi Sharma lost two fingers of his hand. Still, he didn’t let anyone touch his daughter again.

Now, at twenty one, Gori lives quietly in her uncle’s house with her parents and little brother. She wears the white of a widow, though her heart still beats with the hope of finding peace someday. Her eyes no longer shine like before, but deep inside, the same brave, kind girl still lives the one who once found joy in small things, the one who gave up her dreams to protect her family.

She is Gori Sharma a girl who lost everything, yet still carries a heart that refuses to stop feeling.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
